Ur vid is total inspiring for me.... It will be three years come march 9 2012...b4 I started I said I know by my fifth year they would be the perfect length....ur vid is total proof of that...love ur Locs.... Can't wait till I reach my five year mark....thanx for posting ur wonderful vid (:
I don't use beeswax, because it attracts dirt and lint to locs, and it's very hard to wash out. I use Jamaican Lime & Mango locking gel resistant formula. It smells good, provides a strong hold without drying out the locs or causing product build up. If you are unable to find JL&M, it is very easy to make your own all natural loc twisting butter by mixing a little honey, olive oil and aloe vera gel. Go easy on the honey though. It gives a tight hold and gives the new growth lots of sheen.

Thanks so much for your comment. I'm glad that you were inspired by the video. Locs require lots of patience, so hang in there and don't give up--you'll reach your goal before you know it.
@Ebony359 thanks for responding. i'm definitely going to keep going. i love my locs. i had someone retwist for me on Sat. after about 5 weeks. only problem she used yellow beeswax and spritz. so i see flaking and i hate that. that's how she does her hubby's own though and his are gorgeous. he's had them since 2001. still i dn't think i want anymore beeswax in my hair. my biggest problem is that i had been overtwisting with the needle so i'm dtermined to leave it long enough to thicken roots.
