Farrakhan should shut up himself as he has never lived in an underdeveloped country before like Nigeria. He is just a bitter African American religious figure head who (to a great extent, rightly) feels a sense of injustice against African Americans in America. His outburst here stems from that background and nothing more; in fact, he does not give a damn about the state of Nigeria be it poor education, roads, hospitals, corruption and children dying in thousands everyday....

Under the surface, I think that Wallace agrees with Farrakhan. He has been alive a long time and has seen a lot of shit. He remains totally calm and lets Farrakhan speak without interruptions. Wallace has interviewed many personalities during his tenure as a journalist. He had total control of the interview. I really think he tailored his questions and comments to Farrahan's temperament. Farrakhan is a very bombastic and charismatic speaker. Wallace knew that he could make Farrakhan loose his cool by making that comment.

It would be the same as saying Farrakan is a racist so anything he says is stupid, or person A is a criminal so how could he possibly claim person B is innocent. Mike Wallace did not get "owned". Yes, America has many blemishes on its record, as do all nations. It is a tragedy that the words of our declaration of Independence "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" were not heeded or realized for centuries. However, that does not mean one cannot be critical of another nation, Nigeria.

I can assure you outsiders know little of Nigeria im Idoma and no outsiders have been or resided in my home town since its existence.Nigeria is run by a ruling class of Monarchs and ex military officers turned politicians.
