  • Hey guys, I can get the benchmade 530 s30v for like $50 from work. should i go with that or the spyderco tenacious?

  • @tzDub92 seriously GET this you will not regret it

  • My opinion of best under $40 knife would be the Kershaw Skyline. Made in USA too.

  • @heywoodjublome1 how do you know its REALLY made in the usa

  • Comes out of the box that sharp huh?

    Cool, I'm getting one.

  • @MrHALOCOUST i didnt notice it thx

  • have you sharpened it or is it stock? if so can you make a sharpening vid i know there are a lot i just am curious to how you do it.

  • dude you should get one of those deals with amazon so people buy em off your link and you get some money. awesome review i got it.

  • mine got me just now when i got out of the shower and was taking it off my pants that were on the floor, i had the wave zip tie mod done to it an it grabbed just right an the tip went right into my wrist that i was holding the pants with. didnt hurt at all tho just bled like a mofo.

  • is it a locking knife ?

  • @jadamek2 yes,cant u see the liner lock lol?

  • The day my Tenacious came in the mail, I was running my left thumb down the blade to remove a smudge. My wife had just said be careful and guess what ? I cut the hell out of my self. I've been messin with knives for 55 years, and that was the first time I ever cut myself looking at a knife. I think the full flat grind makes the tenacious such an easy cutter.

  • Awsome reviews dude awsomw knife going to try to get one sorry about your cut

  • cut by a Byrd two times today, similar to yours =[[

  • wow getting cut with ease like that made me buy one lol

  • @RossDaBoss707 does your door bell tell the time? :P lol just fuckin with ya

  • doorbell goes off @ 3:48

  • @RossDaBoss707 its a clock

  • @sonicsickosixx same thing

  • I only have $20 what should I get? Please respond!

  • @MagSkunk8 nothing save up for a benchmade griptillian

  • @MagSkunk8 Crkt drifter, byrd cara cara, benchmade pika 2

  • would anyone with experience reomend this or the kershaw volt 2?

  • @MrLoveslittlekids Even though I'm creeped out by your name, get the Tenacious.

  • @Eagle10710 thanks for being decisive.... i know i get a lot of comments about it i just like the show the office and its michael's name for a dating site

  • Should I get this or the Spyderco Ambitious?

  • Nise knife

  • Is this a gravity knife?

  • cutlerylover i'm looking into buying this knife, ive just seen that they have released it with a black blade, do you know if their is any difference between this one and the new one.

  • do you own any protech knives?

  • i un-subbed because of the hot-sauce reviews, but re-subbed shortly after the 07:15 point of this video.

if you pour hot-sauce on your next cut, i will have lived a full life!

in all seriousness, thanks for the great review. i just bought this one from amazon for $32 bucks, free shipping.

    keep up the good work!

  • Tenacious living up to its name there.

  • do the g10 handles tear into the lining of your pockets?

  • @hsk54 The G10 on this knife is less agressive compared to stuff from cold steel and the like.

  • Cut at 7:15...

  • Cutting yourself made that review THAT much better!!! hahaha

  • what size bit is needed to switch the pocket clip?

  • @Home94MK i believe its a size 6

  • Don't cut yourself. :P

  • must be a newbie with a knife lol

  • where to get the cool knife stands?

  • I have the same knife, the one hand technique I use to retract the blade is like follows....

    1. Thumb to unlock first

    2. Index to push blade to 90 degrees

    3. Then use your thumb in the thumb hole to drag the blade back into the closing position

Doing it this way its impossible to cut your thumb

  • That looks painful man.. gotta have that knife, I've been eyeing it for two weeks now. How durable the knife is? I'm planning to make it my edc.

  • @AgosDiwa

Its great. Its been my edc for about a year with no problems. Its very easy to sharpen back to razor sharp when it dulls

  • I just received this knife today and I love it...but I've already cut myself, lol.

  • a week after i got thin knife, i got cut bad....from the tip of my middle finger to the middle of the palm...its a curse, i say

  • Thanks for the review, I just put this knife on my Christmas list!

  • Cool

  • good review i was very surprised by 8cr13mov steel it does very well for a lot of stuff

  • sorry thats my old email, my new one is zbarnard8@gmail.com

  • hey @cutlerylover, i am just now starting to collect knives, i have an american wildlife knife from the wildlife series, if you would be willing to trade anything for it, that would be great, if you want to email me about it my email is zbarnard@digis.net, please let me know, thanks:)

  • Got it for $25 on amazon. Lightning deals ftw!

  • Don't worry about the cuts guys, that's just the curse. It was just making sure it had your attention. It always looks like it was caused by your own mishandling of the knife, but that's just the knife twisting your mind. My cut needed 12 stitches. It'll heal and then, once you learn some respect for your particular blade, you'll see how great it is.

  • Just ordered off amazon for $25

  • @THE13EARJEW haha hi

  • I got cut too...

  • oh man...the old cutlerylover camera; the only camera ive ever seen that tried to follow his hand...no idea who made it or how much it costs, but i thought it was one of the weirdest things to watch

  • Thanks to you and nutnfancy i ordered this knife and it will be here in a few days and i cant wait it will be my new edc knife i subscribed and liked the video

  • Damn... Got my new Tenacious today. Within 5 minutes of handling it, I cut my thumb. It was my own carelessness (as in your case, sorry to say).

  • Very helpful. Thank you. I just ordered a C122GPS.

  • hey, is the g10 scales on the tenacious aggressive enough to grind away your pocket over time if you clip the knife onto your pocket and slide it down??

  • @dynastyflygon

nope, it not as aggressive as the more expensive spyderco g-10 scales. but it still has a nice grip.

  • Just ordered one this morning $29 buck, I couldn't decide between the Ontario Rat 1 or the Tenacious I hope I chose wisely...

  • I have one of these and I live it as well. Thank you for a great review.

  • But will it blend

  • @midgetturtle23 IT WILL NOT

  • Ordered mine off amazon a few days ago! got a smiths pocket sharpener too

  • @hakrsakit I have that sharpener....It stinks. Spend the extra money and buy a lansky sharpening system. Will make a world of difference. The smiths rips a lot of steel off a good blade.

  • @IKSDoomie well, after hearing that from some places i ran my old walmart hunting knife through it before putting my tenacious through it, the carbide sharpened really well, but after running it through the ceramic it was worse than it was to begin with.. i feel like im doing something wrong.

  • @hakrsakit No you are not doing it wrong. The ceramic side indeed does ruin the new grind that was placed on the blade by the carbide side. While it is sharp after the carbide side I always noticed that there were far to many saw teeth in it. If you use the carbide side and then strop with a leather belt it will be much better than with the ceramic side. Just depends how sharp you want the blade...I might be a snob :P

  • do you ever play five finger fillet?

  • @Malero98 Amazon. $32.29

  • You should have a company make cutlerylover first aid kits!

  • i have used knifes over 10,000 times in my life ,and never dropped one that i can recall , so that makes me a better knife handler than you ,,,,, wait ,,,, i have cut myself often enough ,,, so we're even

  • does it bend like this ! ;D

  • im sorry but watching that in slowmotion was intersting

  • More hot sauce reviews please!

  • where can i buy one i cant find one that can ship to france please help

  • @TheHaloSuper3

    Check out Ebay

  • do a spyderco police review

  • Actually you are right and wrong.

    i am 14.

    i own a mikov knife.

the steel is very hard to sharpen.

BUT i do have some sharpeing equipment.

i made a video on the mikov and i hope u find the time to check it out.

    thanks.

  • If you had a thumb nail, that probably wouldn't of happened.

  • @rooter1215 i lol'd

  • i bought a knife that kept sharp and lasted me a year that only costed 7 dollars, but it was on sale

  • cutlerylover -> bandaid reviews

  • spyderco tenacious or the ontario rat 1 folder? which one would you say is a better choice to get?

  • @420smokedatweed I have both and I love them both my choice is the RAT just because i prefer thumb studs over open hole deployment. Other then that I'd put them on par with each other.

  • @420smokedatweed They are both good, its totally dependent on what you like. Biggest difference to me is the Rat 1 has a much longer handle that is thinner in total width. The tenacious has the Spyderco opening Hole, Ontario has a thumb stud. Tenacious G10 is slightly more grippy to my hands.

  • you can pick those skull beads up for like 5 bucks for a pack of 300 on amazon.com!!!

  • This knife bit me too ):

  • Man, this knife likes the taste of blood... :O

  • I find the clip to be too tight.

  • @tommie314101 i think it's perfect

  • Wa-hoo..... huh ? See if you qualify for: " The Walking Wounded " medal.

All jokes aside... Please be careful, man.... You DON"T want to know how much the " emergency room " charges these days. (just had a run in with some stitches !!)

Keep a grand USD on hand if you want "make the towel red", get a dozen stitches and a nurse. Things DON"T cost the same as they did 10, 15, 20 years ago. A trip to the "ER", ... and you could mortgage the state you are living in. No bull !

  • i love that knife

  • Where could i buy flitz metal polish?

  • seatbelt cutting demo? now that is cool, nice video ; )

  • oh that cut is nasty, ouch! what a bad place to get cut, i have cut myself on my hands, and fingers, and even a pinky toe but i hate it the most when i get cut on my thumbs, because they need to be used! i cut my thumb once and it was so bad to look at that i but bandages on it, and i had to eat with my other hand for a couple weeks, which sucks!

  • You can't get either bc the discontinued that knife a year ago and bc everyone likes them so much they are all bought up so haha

  • Should I get Plain or Serrated?

  • @CaveTater serations if you know how to sharpen them

  • What is better combo edge ot plain edge, on the tenacioud??

  • You can get away with slightly under 4 inches...

  • Hi Jeff, thanks for the video man! You're one of the few knife o holics (no disrespect) that I trust with gear reviews. (= So I wanted to know, now that you've had the Tenacious for a relatively long time, does it have blade play in any direction? or other problems?

I'm really interested in this knife, but I'm open to suggestions (=

Hope you have the time to respond! (=

thanks anyways man, greetings from Mexico!

  • Hey cutlerylover, I accidently nicked my Tenacious' blade. How could I restore it to a nice edge again? Im not the best at sharpening so im not very sure.

  • What's the point in putting such a nice finger choil when you are going to have the liner lock stick out so far? Kinda annoying if you ask me.

  • @gaozhi2007 It's just to get to the liner easier, it would be quite uncomfortable if the entire handle was that shape

  • @tommie314101 Yeah, but can you tell me if it is uncomfortable? besides the weight, that is the only thing keeping me from getting this.

  • @gaozhi2007 I have medium sized hands and it feels comfortable for me, and it's not to heavy for my taste... I'm getting mine in a couple of days, I've handled it before and the price is low compared to equal knives :)

  • @gaozhi2007 on the opposite side the choil isn't as deep as the opening side ( for righthanded ) , it's made so to easly catch the opening hole and closing of the liner ... this is not intended as a real choil ... if you wand a knife with a choil look for spyderco , manix, caly, sage 3 ....

  • @viniv20 thanx for the info, chief!

  • Mine should be coming tomorrow!!!! :)

  • @Gewehr7 diddo

  • Is the knife that sharp out of the factory?

  • i did that with my spartan this morning. except the top of the finger

  • I cant find this knife for ~30-40$ ... all i find is 60$ up to 100$!!!! iS THERE DIFFERENT MODELS?

  • @Elementpunx amazon, i see it for 32$ right now

  • @Elementpunx It depends, he gave a US price. If you don't live in the US it will be more, probably.

  • @75SilentWarrior thx man i already learned a lot about my shit prices in Poland and i ordered 4 knifes from US :) With shipping its still worth it :)

  • @Elementpunx try Amazon.com... i got one for 32 bucks with free two-day shipping :)

  • Is this blade size legal in Illinois? And have you tried the little brother of this, the Persistence?

  • @ThatReptileDude i live in Illinois too and the law is vague alls it says that a "dangerous knife/weapon" is defined by a blade length of more than 3 inches but that doesn't mean its illegal just that if you get caught with such knife/weapon while committing a crime the penalty increases but u could deff EDC this blade no problem as long as u are responsible with it and don't do stupid things to get u arrested....

  • wow that's an insane cut! i just ordered my tenacious :D

  • should i get this or the cricket

  • @elitehackzores Depends on your use. If you have a rough lifestyle (Camping, boy scouts, stuff like that) then get the Tenacious. If you just want to use a knife to use it for EDC then get the Cricket (Sorry for my spelling if its wrong :P)

  • I'm not sure it's not going to kill me

  • whats the blade length

  • @cocolinful 3 3/8 inches or 86 mm

  • do you have workman's comp? ;) lol jk thanks for the review you should see the cut on my right thumb its huge!

  • haha after seeing you both get cut with this knofe im not so sure its not cursed haha

  • Hey cutlerylover, great video! I actually recently bought myself a Tenacious and it cut me too! I accidentally closed the blade on my left middle finger. seems this knife has to take an ounce of flesh from you before it will accept you as it's owner LOL! Anyway thanks for all the great vids and I'm definitely subbed now!

  • I love the impromptu band-aid review hahaha! :P

  • lol i finally cut my tenacious after over a year, 10 minutes after finishing sharpening it haha

  • That replay kind made me shiver, lol! Anyway, this knife looks great!

  • how wide is the blade?

  • The curse of the tenacious is real, cut myself a day after i got it

  • you should rename your video to "how to cut yourself when closing a knife" and "bandaid review"

    hope your cut healed well.

  • Thanks for the review. I love pinky lanyards, too.

  • Jeff i want an EDC knife, but im broke lol. Would you recommend i get spyderco tenacious or safe up some extra cash and go for the centofante or delica 4. What would you recommend?

  • what size torx do u need to remove the pocket clip

  • jeff i know this is an old vid but for your job cutting boxes and stuff have you ever tried a karambit knife. There would be no need for a lanyard and the curved blade would make it easy to pull through cardboard. Just a suggestion and they are pretty cool knives

  • Great slow mo reply!!!!

  • yep i know that feeling... Ive had a blade close on my while using it(slip joint), cut to the bone... its a miracle i don't have a scar.

  • I'd like to get more views on videos please. I made a video response on the the review of this knife. Thank you so much if you do watch it. :-)

  • awesome lol

  • Best knife for the money, hands down!

Maybe even one of the best practical folders ever built,

  • hey cutlerylover have you or know anyone who got cut but the deployment hole? since i just have.

  • @topguntin Mine was sharp so thats dissapointing on a 100dollar knfe

  • hey cutlerylover have you or know anyone who got cut but he deployment hole? since i just have.

  • Got mine today. Learned everything I know on this model from you and nutn. Very impressed :)

  • how good is that steel compared to 440c stailless?

  • @OgrAdaY Its equal to AUS8, which is about equal to 440B. Slightly lower edge retention.

  • @xxmtgxx ok, thanks man, im new to all of these steels, and is 440b softer or harder than 440c?

  • @OgrAdaY 440c is a step up.

  • @OgrAdaY With that said I should also mention that if the heat treat isnt good it doesnt matter what steel it is. a 440a with a proper heat treat would be better then a s90v with a crap heat treat.

  • That fucker got me too once, I always tell people that want to look at my knife to be very careful cause it can really sting you.

  • Great review. I have been carrying a SOG topo meridian black, for years now. Still a great blade but I was in the market for a new edc blade. After lots of research I decided to purchase the tenacious. Thanks for posting this review. I am looking forward to my new blade.

  • @Solareffects that was a mistake by cutlerylover, not a bad design

  • @ehunter2 IS THE CAPS LOCK COMPLETELY NECESSARY, SERIOUSLY DUDE?!?!?!?!?!

  • you know it would be epic if you cut your left hand

  • 07.17 is epic

  • I badly want to EDC that, but its illegal where i am :(

  • @MATTNATTMATT Where are you?

  • @Kylef7735 In the UK

  • @MATTNATTMATT That super sucks.

  • @Kylef7735 Thats one way of putting it :)

  • @MATTNATTMATT Lol
