Thanks dude, this came in real handy given the past few days worth of lost email. I didn't have to override any of the factory default ports the first time I set it up, but after seeing news today that yahoo was back up, it still failed for me to reinstall/resetup. So I found this, followed exactly your numbers and now I'm rollin' again. Thanks a big hard one!

My virgin mobile used to work with the settings the video explained.  But then one day i guess virgin changed something on their technical side and my email stopped working. Was like this for 1mo till i entered the additional "android" extension to the incoming/outgoing settings shown below. THANKS CHRISCHRIS :) emails working again

@Bradman1352... yes it does send email straight to your phone with a notification when you get one... I just got one and my emails are coming straight to my phone.. I don't have to search on the browser to get it.

Yahoo charges for Pop/imap access to the mail servers. They let the IP addresses of cell phone companies access them though for no charge. Those having problems are likely connecting over wifi or do not have a valid wireless ip address. This is not a bug nor will it ever be fixed. That is how Yahoo is. I'd switch to GMail but after 12 years of using Yahoo mail just can't change.

Very helpful. You only need regular yahoo, and make sure wifi is off. If not you get the server message thing
