  • Thanks dude, this came in real handy given the past few days worth of lost email. I didn't have to override any of the factory default ports the first time I set it up, but after seeing news today that yahoo was back up, it still failed for me to reinstall/resetup. So I found this, followed exactly your numbers and now I'm rollin' again. Thanks a big hard one!

I've keyed in several times, changed passwords, deleted it and sign in again, all to no success.

    Phandroid, please advise!!!

  • hey man i just wanted to say thanks for pointing out that you CANNOT be on Wifi to do this, i spend an hour trying to figure out as ot why the heck it wasnt letting me get incoming mail, but after you pointing out that i couldn't be connected to wifi it worked like a charm. • THANKS DUDE!

  • dude awesome man......that saved me a lot of hassle....you rock bro!

  • so how do i delete the email account

  • Yahoo charges for Pop/imap access to the mail servers. They let the IP addresses of cell phone companies access them though for no charge. Those having problems are likely connecting over wifi or do not have a valid wireless ip address. This is not a bug nor will it ever be fixed. That is how Yahoo is. I'd switch to GMail but after 12 years of using Yahoo mail just can't change.

  • Great! with your help it worked! thanks so much! ! ! !
