  • from this to OK Computer in just over 4 years...incredible

  • Phill still had hair!

  • So much criticism of this album and yet the indie rock that's been made during the last few years doesn't sound like it's progressed at all from this.

  • So this is what Mellow from Death Note use to do before he was in the Mafia...

  • This is pretty funny when you compare it to the intense and serious music videos they made. Another song that SHOULD be on an album, but isnt......

  • ・・・・・・・・・。

  • @scarletIbisluv It was a joke haha.

  • It still baffles me how one of the greatest bands of all time managed to make one of the worst songs of all time.

  • This was not on any album released in the UK, have to say I'm glad I never saw the video or heard the song. Its pretty bad, and they made a video to it!?

  • Jonny Greenwood doesn't age.

    No, Seriously....

  • Thank God these guys grew up.

  • I thought this song was going to be on the new album.... so disappointed.

  • @23lFrench I'm sorry but wtf.

  • @Drenex00 Dude I was only joking don't worry I am not that retarded haha.

  • @23lFrench Thank God lol,sorry

  • So Queen haha

  • so much suck

  • i wish

  • ok, the videos tacky, but the song is certainly tolerable. radiohead may have changed a lot, but their old stuff is listenable. to be honest i think killer cars was the best song from that era, which is a shame because its very hard to find (dont get it confused with stupid car, which is definitely not the best song from that era, though still, as i said, listenable)

  • Radiohead at their best.

  • @Xinaseason

    I'm sorry...what?

  • yeahhhh....im glad radiohead didnt continue with this sound

  • i hate the evil vevo

  • this video is adictive !!!

I can't stop watching this video so cool !! :D

  • This is like a Raiohead blooper reel

  • ironic or not this is not radiohead at its best

  • I'm scaaaaaaared. I'm scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaared.

  • It's obviously ironic, why are people slagging it off?

  • Comment removed

  • I read somewhere that Ed O'Brien's father rips on this video so hard... so funny

  • Chorus is Pixies at the maximus level

  • where are the superbands of the 90s

  • wot is this shit

  • Even great bands make shitty songs, seriously, dont even try and defend this please.

  • Radiohead are a million times better than Justin Beaver.

  • @Eoinposse who the fuck is justin beaver?

  • @RudraNightmare Sorry, did I spell his name wrong?

  • @Eoinposse I think that was sarcasm.

  • Genius.

  • why does everyone hate this song? it totally rocks!!

  • Pause at 1:14.

  • thats right micheal jackson were gonna find you a line of coke to jack u up

  • bernardot wow just wow

  • "pop is dead" is playing on my screen right next to links to katy perry and other crap videos with millions of views.

  • This video was directed by a kinder garden child on acid, for sure.

  • mentalist blur knock off!

    still cool though

  • @madcapoperator they were before blur and they have there totally own genre completely

  • Pablo Honey has a couple good songs. This was not on the album, was it on some speical release or something? Anyway I think it's funny. The song and video both feel so 90's alternative. And Thom looks like a vampire. Thank God they got better and better with each album.

  • @WickedLiquid it was on the special collectors edition of pablo honey

  • Love it

  • I think blow out is the only song that came away from pablo honey unscathed. Creep is shit. Even the band thinks so.

  • @maddhattertime They dont think its shit, they just think its HEAVILY overrated.

  • @maddhattertime yeah. i think the band hates creep mainly because of the whole controversy with the Hollies. Not sure whether they ripped it off or just borrowed.

  • @2323jgrant interesting. What is this about a controversy?

  • @maddhattertime to keep it simple. Creep has an extreme similarity to the Hollies- The Air That I Breath. People obviously noticed and Radiohead got called out on it. and now if you look up Creep. The song has Hammond and Hazlewood of the Hollies credited as co-writers. Listen to it for yourself.

  • @2323jgrant well its funny because none ever noticed and the person who called them on it was thom yorke himself . get your facts right and seriously can you blame them nearly all debut rock albums are majorly influenced by someone or another it simply would have been impossible for radiohead to create a kid a or an ok computer without the use of million euro studio.

  • @conall101 no one ever noticed? rofl thanks professor wikipedia.

  • @2323jgrant .Try the independents article on plagiarism two months ago

  • Come on people, stop hating on Pablo Honey. "creep", "blow out", "lurgee", "thinking about you" and "stop whispering" are awesome songs.

  • i just love Thom's expression at 1:14 when he says "jack him off' xD

  • if this is horrible, justin beaver should hide under his crib and cry out mommy for the rest of his life...

congratz radiohead 'fans'.. only liking the new stuff is actually a proof you like the band, y'know...

  • @Biddyfofish Eh, I like everything but this and pablo honey. I don't see why thats wrong. there still my favorite band. and "Creep" and "You" are both good.

  • If only pop was dead

  • Count me in, I could just marry him too. Nothing about him except he IS fucking special! Sexy, damn.

  • Ironic that pop-tart ads show before this video. Lol, irony.

  • I have never heard this song before in my years of listening to radiohead. These guys look so young when they sung this.

  • this song is unlike any other radiohead tune ive heard, not sure if i like it be honest, cannot fault the rest of pablo honey though

  • I this the trailer for the next Twilight movie?

  • Love it

one of the best songs everr

  • I love all Radiohead, this included.

Sure, it's probably not their proudest moment, but still a catchy song. Stop hatin' on it! Buahaha.

  • urgh i really cant stand this, and I like every album they made after pablo honey

  • this must embaress them lol

  • This is unrefined Radiohead. Raw and vicious

  • @ztikmaen lol yea this sure is "raw and vicious" (scarcasm)

  • @ranmore30 Well unrefined anyhow -__- lol

  • Green Man!

  • I love F5...

    I hate adds...

  • @ClassicalMetal91 Clearly YouTube has no sense of irony.

  • I could just marry thom yorke.

  • @MemTheMachine couldnt we all!!!:P xx

  • I love this song :) Video's hilarious as well.

  • @pjcthatisme meh, everyone has a different sense of humor

  • @pjcthatisme this was meant to be funny

  • LOL!!!!!

  • wow, it looks like a song youd see on the music channel late at night or something, not radioheadish at all. i like it though

  • i wonder if this video was considered cool back in the early 90's.

  • You know, if it weren't for the lyrics and this tacky fucking video, this song wouldn't be that bad... It's still hilarious that Thom "Pyramid Song" Yorke wrote it, though.

  • These guys are brilliant!

  • This song really is not that bad. Granted it's not there best, and probobaly is the worst song by Radiohead. But it's definetely got a good message.

  • Radiohead would have had more fans if this wouldnt exist, since people start listening to the first songs and they either die or become mentally instable after listening to this without knowing what's coming to haunt them. Poor souls hehehe.. Don't get me wrong though I love Radiohead.

  • i wish i was jonny's guitar

  • @MicahBuzan are you a sadomasochist? XD

  • Moses. Over 15 years ago this was, and Jonny still looks the same today. Immortality. Another reason to believe he is a god.

  • Isn't that the guy from Harry Potter? LOL jk Thom looks better now than he did back then.

  • @hohboy Jonny Greenwood was on harry potter and the goblet of fire.

  • @hohboy and so was phil

  • they're genius

  • Ok, maybe they were a little early in saying it but pop really is dead now.

  • A great collaboration between Radiohead and The Blue Man Group

  • My Pop is dead, R.I.P. lol.

  • Thom goes from looking like a zombie to a British Kurt Cobain with that long blonde hair of his to actually looking like Thom Yorke.

Whatever a Thom Yorke looks like. Which is probably just good ol' Thom Yorke.

  • I am so glad the nineties are over.

  • @libelle156 U mad?!?!!??!?!?!

  • @libelle156 Whatta hell is up with you? The 90's were such good days, radiohead are one of the few musicians who are keeping music alive. All the shit musicians entered in this century man. I really miss the 90s music.

  • @katenzcool fucksake, i should of added an :P on the end. i love the nineties, but i am really glad we are no longer in that era. look at my comment in context of this video.

  • @libelle156 ok ok now need to swear.

    Peace

  • @katenzcool all good mate :)

  • Back when radiohead were your average incredible rock band :)

  • Ed is ageless

  • Omfg Phil has hair.

  • I want to hear them play this song live now

  • This shit is fucking hilarious(along with Stop Whispering video). I am a massive fan of Radiohead but i always stayed away from Pablo Honey era because i was afraid from what i could see and hear. . Now i know i did the right thing now. LOL. It is not as bad as it is said but really how did they go from this to OK Computer and Kid A. ?Unbelievable. Now i respect them more not less, because that is an extraordinary evolution.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA EMI SIGNED THESE FUCKERS BACK THEN? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WOW

  • Wow.... just wow.... Usually bands start off good but then get tired and bland. These guys are the exact opposite. To think Radiohead went from THIS to In Rainbows is insane!

    Thank God for Evolution!

  • Never heard this (old) song before, and I thought I knew Radiohead quite well.

  • i just cannot get through this video without cracking up,

    makes my day.

  • I love this song so much!

  • I actually think this is better then video tape.

  • Thom looks funnay^^. Thom is awesome^^.

  • Its nice to know Radiohead attempted to make music at one point in their career instead of having the singer sound like he recovered from a stroke and making random awkward movements on stage while his friends statically play instruments in the background behind him. My favorite radiohead song is this one :D and thats not sayin much :(

  • @Recontra182

    My bad, idioteques really catchy

  • @Recontra182

Yeah I can see what you mean. I try to absorb myself and love some of their new songs, I really do, but sometimes I think the superfans are just deluded. Blips and bloops and yelps and whines just gets a bit boring after a while.

  • @kmacmuzikmafia27

If thats how you hear the music, I dont blame you for not digging it...but I am not deluded, and I don't think of the 'newer' music in terms of blips and whines, etc.... It just doesnt make sense to me.

  • @thebarrens

Wait so you're saying you don't like it because it doesn't make any sense? Or that I don't make sense? Now I don't make sense to myself, thanks. :) Still, there are some good Radiohead songs in their newer catalogues, sometimes I just look over them too quickly.

  • @kmacmuzikmafia27 yeah, the music makes sense, sorry that was confusing!

  • @thebarrens

Oooh you reply fast. Sorry, not used to that, lol. No problems man :)

  • @kmacmuzikmafia27 Gmail and an iPhone dude. puts you RIGHT in the thick of it. Hows that for fast?

  • @thebarrens

Grr. I'd kill for an iPhone. Or anything really besides a cell with no internet access. Ya sound like a salesman, haha.

  • @kmacmuzikmafia27 "Blips and bloops and yelps and whines just gets a bit boring after a while. " 2deep4u

  • @pigshamchess

Really? Reeaaallly? I'm supposed to be offended by a douchebag comment like that? Well, I am. I love a lot of Radiohead. I think I'm pretty deep, with a huge spectrum of favorite singers/bands and styles. You can't seriously judge me just because I don't absolutely love a few Radiohead songs. Maybe a deeper person like you would understand that open-minded people might not like fucking everything by a band.

    What's your fav Radiohead song?

  • @kmacmuzikmafia27 U mad?

  • @pigshamchess

    A bit, lol.

  • @Recontra182 Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Everybody has got to start somewhere. Its where you end up is what counts.

  • The video is horrible but the song is half decent.

Which makes it the worst Radiohead song.

  • HAHAHHAHAHA this blows Anyone Can Play Guitar right out of the water!!

    i rather enjoyed 1:14, though...

  • @pigshamchess I quite liked Anyone Can Play Guitar.

  • @MaxClarkso I quite like it, too. but this video is far more shit.

  • qe pesados los del puto youtube con el puto anuncio de pepsi ostia

  • This is pretty funny because MJ is dead.

  • he was a extroverted one :O

  • I've never gotten why people act like this song is so horrible. 1:45 to the end is one of my favorite Radiohead moments of all time.

  • Thom does not look good with long hair.

  • wow. thom yorke thought he was hot in this 1. lol

got the pouty lips going on

  • Thom looks like a cross between David Bowie and Tilda Swinton in this, heehee.

  • this is the only video, ever, that i have seen colin rock out. amazing.

  • when i hear this song it remembers me of pete doherty's voice!

what do you think about it?

  • No-one can sneer as hotly as Thom Yorke.

  • Comment removed

  • Fuck most of you writing below, this is as good as Radiohead have ever been, at least, and it's fucking ace. Saw them play live in '93 and they were the cutting edge and fucking mindblowing with it. Not sure about now.

  • Comment removed

  • 1:13 - "jack him off" ?

  • they have so many different sounding songs and they're all amazing

    that's hard to do!!

  • Real Pop is dead.

  • Anyone else notice that Jonny has used the same Telecaster for all these years? To think that he would go on to use this same guitar for tracks such as "Paranoid Android", "Go to Sleep", "15 Step" and all that good stuff in between...

  • I don't get why they're so ashamed of this song.

It's not deep and exceedingly meaningful, but it's better

    than most bands.

  • No way is this Radiohead... More like a bad David Bowie impression. Catchy, though.

  • whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat

    I like this video .-.

  • the guitar still kicks ass on this song!

  • and then came Lady Gaga :)

  • That's why it's called evolution. A band always starts off almost a spitting image of their influences. Plus people have to realize that this is "era relevant". This was made, what, at least over 15 years ago. Now, that being said, this shit is hilarious!!

  • wow. I can't believe i've never heard this b4. very relevant for the time cuz grunge had met or surpassed all pop music on the charts

  • "Oh no, Pop Is Dead, long live Pop...it died an ugly death by back catalouge" Say what you want about old radiohead, but, I think this is a very catchy, witty song. Yea, its a bit cliche, but definetly not a complete throw-away

  • radiohead is so amazing even their worst song is still pretty interesting

  • i want the stripy sweater XD

  • Radiohead appear dangerously close to having a sense of humour here.

Too much money and adulation must be depressing.....

  • I can't believe this band went on...

I can't believe this band would go on...

It's hard to believe that this band...

  • This is 'not that bad'

  • The guitar is great though

  • Ugh...I hate early Radiohead. Its hard to believe that this band would go on to make In Rainbows.

  • @ITTTheKrimsonKing

I hear ya...makes them pretty interesting though, to know they went from poop to glory in about 5 or 6 years

  • I like the vid :D

  • Hey does anybody know the name of the Radiohead song that includes the lyrics "so far away". It's a very sad and powerful song. I heard it about 9 years ago on the radio. But, they never gave the title. please drop by my channel and leave me a message if anyone knows. Please let me know.

  • @ExclusiveLM wow. wrong band there. that song is called

Hemmorhage (In My Hands) by Fuel.

  • good tune actually. video is just plain embarassing. see this tune live at the astoria from 94. killer. sounds and looks way better.

  • You ppl hating on Pop is Dead are crazy! Can't anyone hear the Sex Pistols influence here? It's a cheeky, satirical song, written to take the piss out of so-called "pop" music and the braindead idiots who get off on it. Something Johnny Rotten or even John Lennon might've written lyrically.

  • @LantaGem

Also there's some strong Elvis Costello influence in the verses, Yorke can be so scathing with his lyrics when he wants to. What a master, old acid tongue!!!

  • @TheFringefilms Agreed! Some of Thom's other (amusingly) caustic lyrics remind me of something Morrissey might've written. Course, Yorke and Co. have variously sited Costello, the Beatles and The Smiths as influences over the years.
