I'm going by wikipedia, so according to them, the real girl was never considered to be part of the performance. The girl who appeared at the ceremony did record vocals, but someone made the decision that her vocals weren't good enough, hence the substituting singer. Perhaps there should be outrage over the girl not having a good enough voice? And how do we know the real singer didn't have good co-ordination or nerves to handle such a huge audience. Too many excuses to bash a great ceremony.

And when all the major TV networks broadcasted the performance live, we weren't told that THEY were syncing either. What do you have to say about that? Syncing and visual substitutes for singers has been going on for DECADES in the music industry. People need to learn about their music history and how looks are just as important as vocal ability in our shallow society. Sadly, nowadays, singers only have looks, and no vocal talent.

Lots of chinese didnt like that the girl didnt get to show her face. I thought it was horrible that chinese official just said some child wasnt good looking enough to be seen in the Olympics. you ladies need to do some actual research and not accept our modified media so readily. yes the fireworks we saw were computer generated however, they left out the fact that it was our own AMERICAN news companies that generated them because they helicopters they had positioned could not capture the fireworks to it's entirety. so what we saw (the computer generated ones) were ACTUALLY there at the opening ceremony.
