Unfortunately this video repeatedly demonstrates one of the big issues with the BB Storm. It is difficult to accurately type, even for minor edits it often takes two attempts to hit the right key. The BB Storm is the best solution for my needs (for now) but it still needs a lot of work. If you are reading RIM here's a tip, but a context appropriate ".com" button on your keyboard and put a decimal point "." on the number pad. Jeez, do we have to explain everything to you guys????

Hey, I have a tip: get a different phone. I'm not surprised at all Verizon is already selling it for $50. Gorgeous screen, but also the single worst typing experience I ever had on a cell phone and an ear-piercing, all-treble, sound coming out of the speaker - practically unusable for music. Notice the guy making mistakes as he types. Takes me 5 minutes to write/correct 1 sentence on it. Thumbs down to Blackberry for this model.

@reborn BlackBerry Storm may not have the easiest keyboard (sorry if it takes skill to use) but it still has many amazing features, such as copy and paste, voice dialing, and a 3.2 mp camera w/ auto focus and zoom. And yes the speaker doesn't sound the best but what kinda loser listens to music through it i have a moto rocker and its sound quality is epic and its picture and sound are both better than iphone so stfu

Those features are standard on every better-than-average phone. Nothing amazing here. And you can listen very well to music on an HTC Touch Pro 2 (2 excellent distortion-free stereo speakers) or a Nokia 5800 (some distortion, but excellent bass). Cool thing to put the phone on a desk and play some music through speakers. I don't know why you mention iPhone - hyped up piece of junk. I like BB phones a lot, but many people aren't happy with the Storm. Read some online user reviews and ratings.

I knew of all those tips and tricks on my own except for the main one: selecting a character mid-sentence. I was having the hardest time with that and I was having to delete the whole sentence to get back to the letter I was trying to edit.

i got the storm yesterday for t-mobile. at first the texting got me mad but after like 15 mins it becomes easy but i still make mistakes but the auto text corrects everything. and u can edit words yourself so it becomes easier

Can I get a stylus for my BlackBerry Storm, I always hit the wrong letters in Landscape view.

Unfortunately not unless it's a special type of stylus that can transmit an electrical signal (I beleive they exist, and are used in asia).

Capacitive touch screens like the iphone, G1, and storm, all rely on the electricity from your fingers.  Thus, you can't wear gloves, use your fingernail, or use a stylus. Fine for americans in warm states, not so fine for cold states or those in asia that need to write with a stylus rather than type with a keyboard.
