Looks like you got a bad box. Hard to say if it happened at the factory or in the store. Federal USUALLY has pretty good quality control, so I'd say some genius at Wally World spilled something on the ammo boxes. I prefer Winchester anyway, get yourself some Silver Tips or better yet, the Power Max Bonded Hollow Points {thats what I started using last year}. Buy Power Points if the other two are'nt available. Stick with Winchester ammo and you'll not be disappointed. Hornady is a good 2nd choice

Large chain stores buy bulk lots of items and store it in warehouses until it is ordered by individual stores,It could have been in storage for anywhere up to a year before you got it,

Its just oxidation of the copper in the brass. The box of ammo must have gotten we and stayed wet for a bit of time. During such the copper which was reduced, became oxidized and formed some kind of copper oxide on your brass. No big deal, just wipe the rounds down to remove the crusties and shot the shit. The blue around the primer is the normal primer sealer. The other blue crust is actual corrosion where something has reacted with the copper in the brass. I hope you took those back and had them get you some heterosexual rounds. LOL

Sent them to Remington so they could test them, still waiting to hear back. !st time ive had cases repture. thankfully nothing bad happened to my gun, me or others

ehhh all i will use in my centerfires is federal, just from the water mark on the box i can tell you it was either wal marts fault for shitty storage of the ammunition after recieving the shipment, or actually during the shipment itself, only issue i have ever had with federal is the box of 3" mag shok turkey shells i bought, the shells were over loaded, and the crimping did not fuse, gander replaced at no charge

Its just oxidation of the copper in the brass. The box of ammo must have gotten we and stayed wet for a bit of time. During such the copper which was reduced, became oxidized and formed some kind of copper oxide on your brass. No big deal, just wipe the rounds down to remove the crusties and shot the shit. Its not gonna give you or your rifle the herps. And yes I'm posting on a fing old vid and you probably have already gotten rid of the ammo. Cheers.

Hey man, I got Ammo at walmart that had the same discoloration. Remington 38+Ps. five out of 100 had ruptured the case...almost the entire length of the case! Sent them to Remington so they could test them, still waiting to hear back. !st time ive had cases repture. thankfully nothing bad happened to my gun, me or others
