  • good lesson. cheers

  • Not completely sure what you mean but in general my best advice is to just keep doing it till you can do it in your sleep. Eventually everything will come together.

Thanks for the comments on SHC. I'll let jessie know.

BTW, I really liked your video!

  • Can you do a lesson that focuses on the slide part of this lesson. The shuffle is cool but I am having a hard time making it flow like you do when spicing it up with the slide. And I love your version of Sweet Home Chicago.

  • Thanks. Glad it helped.

  • Thanks man! Exactly what i was looking for. Awesome tutorial and playing.

  • Thanks.

Check my other vids, there is one all about it.

  • @AZCobraman Helpful video. Gave me some ideas. Your guitar has a cool tone, but I don't recall ever seeing a guitar exactly like that one.

  • hey man what0s this guitar?! it s reallu beautiful!

  • Thanks. Not really a song, just some Robert Johnson/Son House licks.

  • Nice lesson!

Which song is at the end? I think i heard it before.

  • Thanks!

  • This is good stuff. Keep 'em coming.

  • very helpfull!!

  • It'd be great if you posted a few more vids showing some of the slide riffs and phrases you use in depth

  • @PierreMoore

Thanks. I see that you're a fan of Son House and if you watch him you'll see pretty much everything I know in G.

  • @AZCobraman

Unfortunately his hand movements are too exaggerated for me to easily see. It's also fairly hard for me to 'hear' in the open g key..After 10 years of playing only in standard tuning, what i hear doesn't translate to where my fingers want to go.

  • @PierreMoore

Switching tunings can be a hassle I agree. I've been switching between D and G (hardly ever play in standard anymore) for so long it doesn't bother me much.

"Unfortunately his hand movements are too exaggerated for me to easily see."

'Ol Eddie could really rip and put everything he had into his playing didn't he!

I'll see what I can work up. Thanks for watching.

  • @PierreMoore This is good stuff. Keep 'em coming.

  • Great, great, great. As a total amature to slide, this was really helpful. Thanks from UK

  • Well as a total amateur video maker I'm glad you found it useful. :o)

  • @AZCobraman Nice video...much muting are you doing on the strings not being played?

  • Great! I learned the shuffle in an hour and it is fun. I can't believe it. Thanks much.

  • Excellent video !

    Hans :o)

  • Yeah it's just a wine bottle that I hacksawed off. Used a carbide blade and finished it on the belt sander.

I don't drink so every Christmas I nab a couple straight-necked bottles at the family parties. I have a nice little collection now.

  • Pretty Cool Mike, What kind of slide are you using there? Home made?
