Personally that sort of insult has no strength with me because I do not believe in god. You sir are obviously use your religion to justify the killing of many innocents. The root of the conflict has nothing to do with the crusades. It is purely a story of dispossession. The philippine govt had a programme for many years of repatriating crowded northerners to the island of mindanao and the peoples of that area were displaced. Muslims more so, whereas christians were granted land ownership natives with muslim background were persecuted.and landless by the invasion. What else could they do but fight hence the start of the conflict that continues to this day.

Just think of the countless problems that we'll solve if we actually grow a brain and stop believing in senseless stuff like aswangs and gods. Conflicts in Mindanao? Overpopulation? I'm not saying the Philippines will necessarily be an extremely rich country right away, but at least SOME of our problems would have been solved.

The root of the conflict has nothing to do with the crusades. It is purely a story of dispossession. The philippine govt had a programme for many years of repatriating crowded northerners to the island of mindanao and the peoples of that area were displaced. Muslims more so, whereas christians were granted land ownership natives with muslim background were persecuted.and landless by the invasion. What else could they do but fight hence the start of the conflict that continues to this day.

@Man20Pac Datu Piang, the famous late 1800's Moro leader has a city named after him: Datu Piang, Maguindanao. Datu is just a title. Although derived from India, the word was commonly used in late 1800's Philippines to describe a powerful man with a large network of workers and businesses.

However, look up your History of the southern islands, a famous Moro leader named Datu Piang ruled over many in the sultanate during the late 1800's to early 1900's. This history is also in our American Philippine history books at the universities regarding the agreement of the US and the Moro Sultanate before a Republic of the Philippines existed.

Just think of the countless problems that we'll solve if we actually grow a brain and stop believing in senseless stuff like aswangs and gods. Conflicts in Mindanao? Overpopulation? I'm not saying the Philippines will necessarily be an extremely rich country right away, but at least SOME of our problems would have been solved.

"Philippines" was only two islands back then named in honor of Philippe, who was a prince during the time of the founding. Pangasinan and many territories were Hindu and animists having Datus and not Rajas.
