Fair trade -- for American workers and the poor in other countries is vital -- that or war -- but bigger than corporate class war is financial class war. Check Michael-Hudson dotorg, say no to Pinochet/CIA fascist economics in the USA and globally. No to bloodbaths, no to enforced poverty.

Democrats can win with this issue. Populism is deeply ingrained in the psyches of rural Americans. Embracing Christianity might not be such a bad idea either. It worked for Jimmy Carter in 1976.

Yes neo, unfortunately African farmers don't get to vote in US elections and don't contribute to your politician's campaign funds. What you need is a President with the vision to see that if you sell Africa less subsidised cotton you might in the future be able to sell them more computers. The same can be said of Europe by the way.

I'm disappointed that a video with the words Fair Trade in the title didn't discuss the issue of agricultural subsidies which cause so much harm in the developing world.
