This game inspired me to be a warrior of light in real life as a kid. It gave me a sense of toughness being surrounded in a world full of real monsters.
this has to be the best rpg out there, it has everything, great graphics, great story, and especially great music! im so getting it on the virtual console if it gets put on there!
I gades shall crush thee into oblivion @sephious159 you know how majin buu turns people into chocolate and eats them thats what i'm gonna do to you. yet i think you would have no flavor quite CHEAP really!!!
its to bad that for me then, part 2 was the best. the rest was, in way of battle and stuff nothing near this part.
the first part is an classical rpg and young in age you can say (in the time these things were still new) part 3 was i thought on the gameboy, i have played it for a while but it hought no is this lufia (i wasnt happy), part 4 was like pokemon you can say.
The first time I entered Doom Island & I heard this tune I already had a feeling somebody will not return alive from the fortress because of the tone of this tune :(
And no, I haven't played Lufia 1 before I played Lufia 2 so I didn't know the back story.
Daos is pretty gay in this game, compared to the first Lufia. Actually all the sinstrals are pretty lame, it's the regualar bosses and music which make it cool.
There's really only in the very beginning of the series that Erim is seen as a #3 Sinistral in the prelude. At the end of I it's definately seen as the Sinistrals need Erim and she's the MVP. By II she's your only hope for even getting close to the Sinistrals, uses her awesome power to help you through the ENTIRE game thus is seen as more important. By III it's made obvious she's really the top sinistral in both battle and storyline (excluding Arek The Absolute).
There's no other word for this music but simply epic. I prefered the notes in Lufia to this though. All the added notes to this is eh but still awesome.
The heroes are here to save the world from the Sinistrals! Even though the Sinistrals have already accepted defeat (at least Erim, Daos kinda eludes to it too..the others are stupid - especially Gades!)
Why should he? Daos is no different than the other sinistrals except he has the most HP and physical defense and he's the 'leader' (even though he has a boss Sir Arek The Absolute).
Personally I find Erim harder as she has more magic resistance and INT than Daos and can instantly kill you and uses the same powerfulest magic spell as Daos (Dark Fry).
This game wasn't really suppose to have a huge final battle since it's a prelude to the original unfortunately the drawback of prequels.
I've heard some mixed opinions if it's Erim or Daos that's harder. One person I asked about them in III said that they felt Daos was easier since Erim and Daos's stats are comparable in the game, but you're stronger when you face Erim, and you're even stronger the 2nd time.
Well there's no question in III who's stronger since you fight Erim/Seena after even Guard Daos but II they are the most equal since u fight em both at the end. I you don't have a comparision at end just in prelude. At the end when she reveals she's been Lufia the whole time you see that her energy waves completely own the rest of the Sinistrals lol but never fight her..or refuse to since she's Lufia, Dual Blade does all the work.
Overall though in all 3 games Erim and Daos are compariable.
@gamingisart 'good try though'? lol if you do a little look on Google, you will see it is a VC game... yes, WITH homebrew.. emulator rom? NO! -- u can install it to the Wii menu with Multi Mod Manager in Homebrew... then its a fully working VC game...
Damn shame man... you should have atleast finished the main story! Hope you get the time to play this great game again and finish it for once and for good.

I don't think they actually show you Selan dying in Lufia 1, do they?
PAMuffinMan 2 years ago
In Lufia 1 no, but if you finish this one it will show you both Maxim & Selan fading away not dying gorily of course.
