Ruyam19's answer was good but short. Ai and Tsuji first joined Morning Musume in 2000. A short time later they joined Minimoni while still being in Morning Musume. They were also in other groups like Tanpopo and shuffle groups. MiniMoni disbanded in 2004 and they graduated from Morning Musume to become W. Ai was caught in a scandal for smoking and dating and was on house arrest for a year. When Ai came back she was caught in another scandal and fired. Tsuji is now married and on maternity leave.
