What was that phrase that they said when they came out of hiding? Sounds like "Ollie ollie oxen free"... But that doesn't sound right. I never shouted that when I played hide 'n seek as a kid.
Oh well. Fond childhood memories! This was the first Muppet Babies cartoon I ever saw!
You have to admire their social development skills. I mean the viewer is left to assume that they decided to play and then played the game on their own without adult supervision. Also, they do a lot of things on their own, without Nanny. I wonder how old they are supposed to be. They are clearly not babies. I am thinking preschoolers, seem a bit mature for toddlers. Animal seems behind the rest, developmentally. Why, I wonder?
This was one of my Saturday morning favorites from back in the day. Today, it would be considered a guilty pleasure for me. Oh, and the episode where Fozzie had a loose tooth is called "Dental Hyjinks."
oh! i think, they are still experimenting. skeeter, animal and bunsen are voiced by other people after the second season, but i like the voices from season 1 and 2 (howie mandel) better.
@zippy3421 I believe that is because some of the voice actors were still trying to imitate baby versions of the adult Muppets; note how gruff Rowlf's voice sounds, sort of like his adult counterpart.
Raven9940: Fozzie's supposed to be a bad comedian, but unfortunately, his constant string of bad jokes probably wore on him since no one seemed to laugh at him (in a good way). As for Gonzo, since he was based on his adult 70's self (back when he had droopy eyes [causing his mopey look] and when he crushed on Piggy, but began to like Camilla also), his state of mind was--for all intents and purposes--normal, as opposed to the weirdo he would eventually become.
owww~ Watching this has made my night, and I'm sure it'll make my whole month! *w* ♥~

Man, a Showgirls Meets Muppet Babies episode would be awesome! I'd imagine some manager would tell Nanny what to do with ice.

"He's just a baby, too."--Kermit
Aren't they all babies, hence the title of the show (Muppet Babies)?
TherealRNO 3 years ago
Well, Animal is the baby of the gang as he's the youngest. Think of something like Dil from the Rugrats. The older babies all care about him.
starlightfree 3 years ago
@starlightfree: Plus, like Animal & Gonzo, Dil is the resident oddball.
