I have seen DMB many, many times. The best performance of Bartender I have ever heard live from DMB was on August 19, 2008 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. I thought it was strange that they would open with this song given the vocal range and passion Dave has to bring to it. What made everything make sense, and why the song was delivered in such a stiring fashion that night, was because...LeRoi Moore past away hours before they took the stage. I will never forget that evening.
