She moved to Corpus Christi, TX and lived there until her death. On March 31, 1995, Selena was shot in the back by her "friend" Yolanda Saldivar at a motel room in Corpus Christi. The bullet hit an artery and she later died from blood loss at the age of 23. There's a movie about her titled 'Selena'.
