  • Nice work taking apart Rodney.

I did an interview with Chuck Close and the discussion of art school, and chuck says he didnt necessarily believe in art school per se but does feel that education is important.

I'm also a artist, (shown/sold around the world) and I dont have a a BFA or MFA and dont believe its necessary for the type of work Im going for, although I do believe that people will take an artist with a BFA much more seriously. Please check out my interview.

  • Thanks for the great comment.

  • Thanks Studio1102 for the extra info on education and especially Dali's technique of sales.

  • I disagree with you on your point about needing a degree...there are many examples of successful artists who are self taught. However thumbs up to you for calling Ryman a hack. :)

  • I'm sorry buddy, but your comments on Ryman are unfounded, I can understand where you are coming from but if you don't have the art history background to know what you're talking about, or have the nerve to attack your own lack of training and still succeed as he did, well, then what can I tell you, some artists live their art at any time and don't wait for that inspiration excuse.

  • thanks for the video resoponse,,,,im not a big fan of getting a degree in art unless one wishes to teach,,but who knows,,,
