Remember, a BJJ-fighter still needs to come close enough to do the grapple, until he gets there you can either retreat, kick, knee, punch or elbow him. And even if he gets close enough, and gets to grab you, he still needs a lot of time to do his thing. In that time one of my friends will already have helped me. Only in a pure one vs. one fight would he have a 'chance'.
There are so many other martial arts where you don't have to wrestle like this... Where you actually learn to punch and kick instead of going into ''the cuddle position'' that bjj practitioners emphasize on. It's seriously gay. Yes, there are times that it feels a little gay... but I sometimes have to grapple with violent patients at my job, and it's definitely effective.

Why is everyone so down on BJJ? All effectiveness of the art aside for a moment. Two guys on the floor with their legs and arms wrapped around each other while they sweat and grunt is so not gay. lol.
Besides, lets stop looking at the inherent gayness of the art and focus on the good things that BJJ teaches people. Like how to act like you're better than everyone else and how to look down your nose at other martial arts.

One of my Instructors David,is a Brown belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu,he laughed at this clip and said "Ok...Now Im scared" and Grinned. There is nothing gay about the art of War,but possibly trying to relate Gay,with WAR (Two total Opposites) Might say somthing about you.

This was pretty funny and it was funny in the Bullshido video. You guys need to relax. I do BJJ as part of MMA and I don't find this offensive. It's just a joke. Don't get so butt hurt over this. I don't even know the name of this movie and I doubt many people saw it, so it's not like this has "tarnished" BJJ's reputation.

Hes just a great fighter,I meen You could do another martial art that isnt BJJ,and he could still kick your ass. @acemaster916 The Japanese did apply their jujitsu so the ground look at their heel hooks, leg locks, wrist locks, armbars they are all forms of ground technique. Why are you so insecure about wrestle with another guy? Is it because you might be turned on? Some people are just plain retarded.
