@csilviu1 i may not agree with you but theres a few people who do. ive been in the army and im as proud as can be about that fact. you can call us murderers, killers, whatever. it doesnt matter, because if it wasnt for the military. we wouldnt have the freedoms we take for granted each and every day. so ill say this, im proud as hell to have been in those boots. i wouldnt take a single moment back.

I'm also in the Army. This song hits home for me and my girl. She knows how much she means to me, and I know I mean equally as much for her. It's worth the wait, I promise. You don't really know what you have until it is gone. We may be off doing our job's but believe me when I say this, you're all that's on our minds.

My boyfriend is currently at bootcamp. Be proud of your guys! It's hard, but it's worth it. It makes your relationship the strongest it can be, and it also teaches you a lot about yourself. I knew I was "tough" but I'm a better and stronger person. It seems impossible at first to imagine them gone, but you'll end up being so proud to call them yours!

My bf joined the military pretty recently too. He just got back from basic at Ft. Benning. Still not sure if or when he'll be deployed. I just know, that my job is to be here for him, stay strong if he goes, and pray for his safety. That's all you can do. and to get yourself through it, get a support group. facebook other S/O's or look on tumblr..there are a bunch of S/O's on tumblr.

Missing my hubby! He's in the infantry, year long deployment. We met a week before he deployed back in March, he asked me to wait for him and I did. I am. We got married on his r&r in August, now its back to waiting. It's the hardest thing in the world but I love him more than life itself and he's worth every tear, every struggle & every sleepless night just knowing that he IS coming home one day and he's coming home to ME. yesterday my boyfriend told me hes joining the military, my heart sank and all i could do is cry. my dad did the same thing with my mom and he survived and became a police officer. fiteen years later and hes one of the best state troopers on the job. but i dont wanna wait and have that pain in my chest knowing the one i love is miles away.

There really is nothing I wouldnt do for that man, even though we're still young (both 20) its the strong bond we have thats going to help us live this life together. Truthfully its hard but the months away are worth every single second. Im now 18 & hes 21. Talk & maybe you'll be on the same page. Its not impossible!
@rockachick909 It really is worth it if you truly do love him. I'm not going to lie and say its easy, but time apart just makes your relationship that much stronger. My fiance is currently in Afghanistan and has been gone almost 7 months now. As hard as it is, there's no way i want to give up on the man I love.
@rockachick909 my fiance is overseas. He's been over there since April. I can't wait for him to come home! I do everything I can to support our troops, whether it's buying some candy or other little snacks at Walgreens to send over to them, or showing my support on my car with patriotic stickers, or buying things that are military themed. I am so proud of my fiance, and you should be too. Too many try to find ways out of supporting our country that we should honor all those who do.

But i would lay down my life for her, and my kids, any day of my life. He's doing this because he cares more for you than anything else in the world....including himself. Wait for him, and he'll come back to you (even if he's a little changed)
@rockachick909 my husband is a marine, and yes it hurts and sucks while they are gone..but it makes you stronger and appreciate the time they are home so much more! gives you more motivation to work at a relationship and more desire for your husband. i wouldnt trade it for the world. 4 tours, 2 together. and we're on our 4 yr anniversary! i love him more now than i ever thought i could ever love him or anyone else!
@rockachick909 From a current active duty soldier its definitly worth it. There are times when it will push you to your limits but when you finally do see him again I gurantee that you will feel nothing more amazing than that feeling. I just dropped my girlfriend off at the airport recently after she came to visit me before deployment and she didnt want to go but I know she will be there waiting for when I return.
@RDGcelica1 From a the wife of an active duty soldier (and former soldier myself), I agree. He just came back from our 2nd 12 month deployment since we've been married and I'd do it again if I had to. Theres no feeling worse than saying goodbye but theres nothing better than finally being together again. I consider myself lucky to have waited for him because it really put what is and isn't important in perspective. Thank you for your service and good luck to you and your girlfriend!

This has helped get me through the countless Underways that never seem to stop. I get my Sailor to myself all of December though!! I will always be waiting for him when he returns. A month, or two, or seven, is nothing compared to our lifetime together. Thank you to all the men and women who serve our country and help keep us safe.

im on my nephews account right now so dont make fun of my name, but my fiancee died last week in the army. a trap killed him. he was a marine and in afghan a bomb on the side of a trail killed him and his convoy was attacked. several wounded, and he was the only one killed. i feel as if it was something out of a horror story. love and miss you Arron Margenett <3

We first heard it while he was going away for basic training and AIT, and we used it as our song then, but now he is deployed for the next year, and we are using it now. I miss him so much every day. He was able to come back for Thanksgivng, and I'm grateful I got to see him, but it was so hard to say goodbye again. I can't wait for the day he comes home!! <3

i would like to go ahead and say that a lot of people should think of the military spouses. i am a army service member in iraq right now and this deployment has been the most frustrating one ever. never knowing when i am coming home and the fact that i should be home but just got six more months here. i deal with it because i have to as my duty, how my fiancee does it i have no idea. for this last full year ive been home a total of two months. As my army spouse, she is the most amazing woman!

I was suppose to be a 5 generation soldier but god had other plans for me ( i have heart problems) so when the love of my life told me he wanted to be a soldier. i just smiled at him and said what base are we going to. he could not believe i would choose this life. he made it home from over seas in2007 medical discharge but died in a car wreck in 2008. i still get calls from his battle buddies and their girls just to check on me.

This video gets me so emotional, I am a proud army girlfriend. 11 more months and my heart will be home, the end of the video when seeing the soldiers walking off the plane and coming home makes me have hope that these 11 months will fly right by and soon enough he will be the one getting off that plane and into my arms.

I have 2 sons who are currently in the army one who has came back from Iraq and one who will be going there shortly, this song hit close to home when I had listened to the words. I was over there twice in '03 to 05' and in 1991/92 god bless all who had served and those who are serving now.

I'm also in the Army. This song hits home for me and my girl. She knows how much she means to me, and I know I mean equally as much for her. It's worth the wait, I promise. My boyfriend is currently at bootcamp. Be proud of your guys! It's hard, but it's worth it. It makes your relationship the strongest it can be, and it also teaches you a lot about yourself. I knew I was "tough" but I'm a better and stronger person. It seems impossible at first to imagine them gone, but you'll end up being so proud to call them yours!

My bf joined the military pretty recently too. He just got back from basic at Ft. Benning. Still not sure if or when he'll be deployed. I just know, that my job is to be here for him, stay strong if he goes, and pray for his safety. That's all you can do. and to get yourself through it, get a support group. facebook other S/O's or look on tumblr..there are a bunch of S/O's on tumblr.

knowing where my boyfriend is right now is killing me, knowing he'll be home to me soon makes it easier. Missing my hubby! He's in the infantry, year long deployment. We met a week before he deployed back in March, he asked me to wait for him and I did. I am. We got married on his r&r in August, now its back to waiting. It's the hardest thing in the world but I love him more than life itself and he's worth every tear, every struggle & every sleepless night just knowing that he IS coming home one day and he's coming home to ME. So I wait for him... ever so patiently. <3 :)

yesterday my boyfriend told me hes joining the military, my heart sank and all i could do is cry. my dad did the same thing with my mom and he survived and became a police officer. fiteen years later and hes one of the best state troopers on the job. but i dont wanna wait and have that pain in my chest knowing the one i love is miles away.

I do everything I can to support our troops, whether it's buying some candy or other little snacks at Walgreens to send over to them, or showing my support on my car with patriotic stickers, or buying things that are military themed. I am so proud of my fiance, and you should be too. Too many try to find ways out of supporting our country that we should honor all those who do.

There are times when it will push you to your limits but when you finally do see him again I gurantee that you will feel nothing more amazing than that feeling. I just dropped my girlfriend off at the airport recently after she came to visit me before deployment and she didnt want to go but I know she will be there waiting for when I return.

He just came back from our 2nd 12 month deployment since we've been married and I'd do it again if I had to. Theres no feeling worse than saying goodbye but theres nothing better than finally being together again. I consider myself lucky to have waited for him because it really put what is and isn't important in perspective. Thank you for your service and good luck to you and your girlfriend!

This has helped get me through the countless Underways that never seem to stop. I get my Sailor to myself all of December though!! I will always be waiting for him when he returns. im on my nephews account right now so dont make fun of my name, but my fiancee died last week in the army. a trap killed him. he was a marine and in afghan a bomb on the side of a trail killed him and his convoy was attacked. several wounded, and he was the only one killed. i feel as if it was something out of a horror story. love and miss you Arron Margenett <3

i would like to go ahead and say that a lot of people should think of the military spouses. i am a army service member in iraq right now and this deployment has been the most frustrating one ever. never knowing when i am coming home and the fact that i should be home but just got six more months here. i deal with it because i have to as my duty, how my fiancee does it i have no idea. for this last full year ive been home a total of two months. As my army spouse, she is the most amazing woman!

once a soldier's loved one always in. I was suppose to be a 5 generation soldier but god had other plans for me ( i have heart problems) so when the love of my life told me he wanted to be a soldier. i just smiled at him and said what base are we going to. he could not believe i would choose this life. he made it home from over seas in2007 medical discharge but died in a car wreck in 2008. i still get calls from his battle buddies and their girls just to check on me.

@ann291988 I agree, I loved and supported a soldier. My husband and the father of our son. He came home, but in so many ways he is gone, I pray that one day he will be able to feel the love that we have always had for him. We miss him.

Right now my boyfriend is getting ready to deploy . I love him with all my heart and for the next 6 months i shall trade sleep for phone calls , and homework for emails from him . everytime he leaves i count down the days untill he comes home . I dunno what id do without him . He is my everything . and i will wait till the ends of the earth to be with him . when he gets back he says he wants to get married . <3 I Love You Mike <3

This video gets me so emotional, I am a proud army girlfriend. 11 more months and my heart will be home, the end of the video when seeing the soldiers walking off the plane and coming home makes me have hope that these 11 months will fly right by and soon enough he will be the one getting off that plane and into my arms.

They're so right that no one else knows the feeling inside...Unless they're in the same position. It's heartbreaking knowing that in 6 days, I lose my love to Korea for a year. And after only getting to see him for a short time because he was stationed in Texas. I'd do anything to be able to be with him. <3

While this song is nice...99% of women dont wait... some are able to make it a few months but after awhile, they all turn their backs...whats worse is when they lie about it so they dont look like a bad person...Ive been deployed 3 times and have yet to have a woman wait for me...sorry guys, life sucks sometimes...

@stevescott321 I'm sorry to hear that. I cannot confirm or deny that, but believe me, once you find the girl you are supposed to be with (the one that is worth it all), she will wait. My husband is serving in Afghanistan currently and I know that he is worth the wait. So I am either part of the 1%, or your statistics are off.

@stevescott321 sometimes yes, but I have been faithful to my soldier from day one and I would never ever ever cheat on him or even consider it. There are plenty out there with the same dedication as me. You just have to find a woman tough enough and committed enough for the job.

My 1st. girlfriend and 1st. love, broke up with me the week before I went to Vietnam. the last thing I asked her was to "remember me". After 43 years, SHE DID!!! We have been the best of friends since ever since she re-connected with me. She was the best thing for me then, and is the best thing fir me now!! I have 2 sons who are currently in the army one who has came back from Iraq and one who will be going there shortly, this song hit close to home when I had listened to the words. I was over there twice in '03 to 05' and in 1991/92 god bless all who had served and those who are serving now.
