  • What the fuck has it got to do with you ? You are acting as a policeman. You are not helping the cycling community to further their cause. Typical fucking cyclist self opinionated, self inflated, antagonistic, fucking queer

  • @labyonnette F*ckwit.

  • Could somebody get this author removed please?

  • @top46floor No, but I can stop you trolling on my vids. Bye.

  • Motorists have no right to take bus drivers to court. If the bus driver had been threatened, he could have reported this to the office and the police. No-one should heckle a bus driver. That was pure road-rage. If would've been far more likely that sh4rkybloke could've got banged up, for at least 15 years.

  • @top46floor I take it that you're a Bus Driver too... probably as crap at driving as this one by the sound of it. Pure Road Rage??? Lol - you need to get out more, you muppet.

  • hehe I like the threatens of saying its on film hehe :D

    But good jobthough

  • send the video to the police . get him sacked. he doesnt deserve to be a bus driver carrying passangers. kids and even babys. u complete moron

  • Traffic lights are difficulty for buses and coaches. Many of them. When Mr. Bus Driver used strong brakes bus is passed line and when accel then catching red.

  • @sh4rkybloke Course they put others at danger and not just themself, what If a rider ran a redlight ,car hit him car/cyclist hit another car kinda domino effect really, btw i saw god knows how many cyclists today in london going through red lights at crossroads in which i would have said something to them too if they hadnt gone up a side road just after..... Cyclists and cars should be punished the same , both on public roads both should know the rules...

  • I drive for a living and ive seen no end of cyclists going through red lights too! Fair do it wasnt right for him to go through on red and maybe the guy videoing this might be one who doesnt go through em too but i kinda think its ironic!

  • @sparky1252003 Not really fussed about whether it's ironic or not... his actions were moronic given that he would have killed anyone in a vehicle joining the road from the left at the lights. Cyclists going through red lights has no bearing on this at all. They are idiots too, but they wouldn't kill anyone by running the lights, only put themselves in danger.

  • @sh4rkybloke annoying cunt....

  • @PAKETEMON You can probably get some soothing cream for that. Hope it helps.

  • Who are you the cop's?..... Have you never broken any of the rules of the road?..

  • Privacy. Um, no legal entitlement of privacy driving public transport in a public place. Thinking this particular driver might not be the sharpest tool in the chest.

  • @DepakoteMeister

It's right. Fully privacy image we have got in our room.

  • If you listen closely, you can hear the brakes being applied and released. The driver, who is trained and experienced, knows that he will never stop in that distance and runs the light. A bus is not capable of pulling up from that speed, with unrestrained occupants safely in that short of a distance. If anything, the speed he is travelling at should be reduced. But seriously, don't go and be a heckling twat to someone who has to do a tedious, dangerous job. Respect that he is trained in it.

  • @JossPhaux The driver's a dick who is travelling far too fast given that he knows the lights are ahead and may be changing. He doesn't deserve any respect for that.. downright aggressive and very dangerous driving. If he knows he'll never stop in that distance then he should travel at an appropriate speed.... probably closer to the actual speed limit of 30mph (48kph).

  • @JossPhaux bollox, they were in a 30 so he was prob breaking speed limit aswell

  • @JossPhaux You are suppose to "prepare to stop" on amber not "prepare to floor it before it turns red". Last time I checked there is a fine (FPN, no points if correct) for jumping an amber light!

  • what a couple of geeks lol

  • Our bus drivers jump red lights all of the time; they gotten over $1 million worth of fixed penaty notices (red light cameras).

  • A cyclist complaining of red light jumping? That is usually a cyclists speciality.

  • @WheelieMacBin Indeed.. and they are idiots too, however if they hit a car doing it they won't completely wipe it out and kill everyone in it like this muppet would have.

  • Get his face up. Report him to the bus company. Dangerous driving. NO MISTAKE THERE!

  • A bus driver jumped a red light?, what's new??

  • Don't bother to pixalate the vid.. This was filmed in a public place, therefore under british law the copyright holder is free to do with it as he or she wishes, if that includes putting it up on youtube to show the world a shit piece of driving and the shit driver in question then so be it. :)

  • @leapoffaith20 I know that and you nkow that... but YouTube just got the report from the idiot driver and immediately sent me a "breach of privacy" type email. I had a day to respond/remove the vid. I responded pointing out the law but they just ignored and removed the vid so I uploaded it again with the pixellation.

  • @sh4rkybloke Although its legal, Youtube can put whatever T&Cs they like on videos, not much you can do really.

  • @sh4rkybloke So YouTube condone dangerous driving and the breaking of UK laws? Interesting. I imagine a lot of advertisers (existing/potential) will be VERY interested in that.

  • only one word that describes this..... nice!

  • You should come to Brighton, I swear bus drivers here don't think traffic lights apply to them, or see them with a 3 second delay or something...

  • Jeeesus, that junction has a verrrry 'efficient' sequence, meaning that if anyone had been waiting at the red at Hampton road they would have been right in the path of this bus when they set off.

Looks like this driver was a very lucky boy that day, bus hitting a car side on at 30+ wouldn't be pretty.

  • for information of all the driver would of been considering safety as a bus has a fair greater stopping distance to a car and also has to make a decision wether to brake hard and risk passenger complaints being a bus driver isnt jus driveing people about and takeing tickets or scum as most of us are branded believe me it aint as easy as it looks

  • @steveovince Not saying it's an easy job... dealing with passenger abuse and all that... but driving at a speed which allows you to stop your vehicle safely when required (and actually paying some attention to the road ahead to see that the lights are changing) is pretty simple. He made no attempt to brake. Crap driving. Simple as that.

  • There is a crossing outside of my shop and I hear and see Arriva bus drivers jumping the red lights every day. I have contacted Arriva to point this out and they say they will get it looked into (this is the second time they have told me this). The silly thing is that you know these bus drivers have to stop every now and again because they get ahead of their timetable, but still they won't stop for red lights?!?

  • Sorry but that Bus driver had no regard for his passengers safety by jumping the red light and thats a sack able offence.

  • i dont think he could have stoped if he tryed, thats why he speeds up

  • It's funny how you complain about your Youtube video being reported for the bus driver's privacy, but yet you don't have any videos with your face on? I wonder if you would like to be filmed every single time you do something wrong? Everyone makes mistakes....

  • That was a "mistake" was it? Yeah okay, whatever.

If I was driving as badly as some of the muppets in my videos and I got filmed doing it, I'd have no excuse for having my mug on display for the world to see. If I'd made an honest mistake I'd hope I'd be man enough to admit it and apologise if confronted, rather than blaming the person who was put at risk/inconvenienced.

  • @DonSimonUK - if you've done something as dangerous as running a red light then you're fair game imo.

Are you SERIOUSLY trying to suggest that bad driving is acceptable and that we can just cast it offhand as a "mistake"? Grow some balls. Sh4rky's face has nothing to do with the video

  • put "magnatom" into youtube - he's got videos of his mistakes on here...

main difference between cyclists making a mistake and car drivers making a mistake is:

car driver makes a mistake - cyclist gets injured or worse killed. (and their bike get's damaged, often beyond repair.)

cyclist makes a mistake - car driver gets a bit of a surprise as a cyclist slams into them. (and the bike gets written off, and the car slightly scratched...)

  • Good job not all bus drivers are like that

  • Don't see why not. It's in the public domain already.

  • If we are on a bus that breaks the law... are we entitled to our money back?

  • Not entitled to your money back, but if he crashes they will end up div'ing out compo. If he kills someone it can come under corporate manslaughter.

  • Show him his privacy, directly to his company and the police.

  • Didn't look like a mistake, looked like he went through red on purpose.

You slow down and pay attention when approaching lights, so when they change you can, if you must, stop. All too often people instead accelerate and go through on red, like this bus driver appeared to do.

    Pretty bad really.

  • Hmm I see theprodriver1 has a closed account too.

I will say this. I find it disgusting that anyone should try and defend bad driving such as this example here! I also find it telling how they bluster about "bad cyclists" and yet provide no actual proof of this despite the many, many videos of proof cyclists put online.

Bad cycling cant be as prevailant as they say...

  • why don't you all go and have bum fun with is camera

  • Please tell me you're not an Arriva driver as well as your mate?

As public-facing representatives of an organisation, your attitude and behaviour is appalling.

  • So well put, TheProDrivel. I imagine you are such an eloquent chap in real life... perhaps next time you could leave your instructive and incisive comments in a nice chunky crayon for us to marvel at.

Thanks awfully for taking the time to join in.

  • OI ,thepromuppet1 , you've just joined you-tube to make this comment, what a sad individual you are - have you been sacked from your bus driving job yet ?

  • Comment removed

  • Everybody makes mistakes on the road. Not everybody shunts through red lights as homicidally as this driver, IMO.

You lot always like to complain about cyclists jumping red lights, and conveniently forget about the 1 in 5 bus drivers and 1 in 10 car drivers going through red lights in London according to the RAC. Me, I'm against all of them.

  • Yes good point, the bus has only 65 times the momentum of the cyclist not 140. In technical terms that would mean that the cyclist would be left as a slightly thicker red smear down the road.

Sh4rkybloke clearly doesn't know when he has made a mistake for example look at the video entitled "My mistake... lane change required!" and then to compound his foolishness he takes up the recommended riding position on approach to a junction.

You obviously have great knowledge of driving.

  • Hopefully that's because they wouldn't let you behind the wheel of a bus... what, with your intimate knowledge of driving/road sense.

  • So what you're saying is cyclists should stay in cycle lanes? Even though many cycle lanes are extremely dangerous. A cycle has as much right as any vehicle on the road.

  • I take it you havent read The Times article this week damning cyclelanes?

Road position is dependant upon the circumstances. If you do a Bikeability course you will see exactly that, and that is government backed and recommended by the Police.

I think you are the one who needs to re-evaluate a few things.

  • Out of interest, did you send the video to Arriva? Has anything happened?

  • ArrivaDriver, stop being a twonk. You made a mistake, and it was in public where it's perfectly lawful to film you.

Just because YouTube are being risk-averse and pulling this video doesn't put you in the right. DON'T BLOODY GO THROUGH RED LIGHTS in the future.

  • Has You-tube insisted that you take action to blur his face, AFAIK it's perfectly legal to video and show footage that been taken in a public place, as seen on TV on all the police shows.

  • You Tube have been quiet throughout, and just removed the video each time that Mr Driver has whined.

I have emailed them each time to point out that the video is perfectly legal and does not contravene either the DP laws or CCTV laws (which are based on the DP laws, but which specifically exclude video taken using such a camera) but they just ignore these emails and remove the video anyway.

This way they can't really have any issue with it... but no doubt Mr Whiner will have something to say.

  • I posted a reply suggesting 'another' video sharing site ... it didn't appear, anyhoo, I'm sure you are aware there are other sites to post video's.

  • It did appear, cheers, but on one of the previous incarnations of this video! ;-)

I may have to go down that route if he persists in being a whining little bugger.

  • Upload the original else where and link to it....and give me and every other helmet camera cyclist a copy (unblured) for us to upload :P.

Wonder how long this video will be up - remember, the driver has a right to privacy with the sound of his voice :P

  • I second that, we can make the video go viral. Censorship in any form is wrong IMO. Was your other video DMCA'ed?

  • go on the helmet camera bit of cycle chat...the driver basically said that showing his face was against his right to privacy...and youtube have better things than to risk litigation (over something which isn't illegal).

  • I'll go and take a look. It's staggering that is what his concern was regarding the video, and not his atrocious driving. He needs to drive ultra safely when in charge on that 14-18 tonne vehicle.

From what sh4rkybloke wrote above, it does seem like the bus driver has DMCA'ed the video which results in an automatic take down by YouTube. You can then reinstate the video by correctly contacting YT (they're difficult to get through to) and also the bus driver is liable to legal action as. ....

  • ... he's technically committed perjury.

  • I think the driver is just too stupid to know what the law actually says.
