He can play a vast répertoire of roles and nevertheless be Excellent. Nothing to add. The song, the pics, the whole thing contributed to make a just tribute to one of the most talented actors of all time.
I love him, he´s so deep, tenderness and warm, a real man. Every line on his face has a story to tell. Fell in love with him through The Piano and Holy Smoke, two films by Jane Campion, where he plays with two of my favorite acresses: Holly Hunter and Kate Winslet, respectively. Jane Campion knows her casting!
Gracias a este video descubrí la voz de Johnny Cash, aquí en Argentina es casi desconocido. Gracias a quién confeccionó el video por haber unido dos genios Harvey Keitel y Johnny Cash.
Harvey Keitel is a superb actor who chooses roles that fit him well. His performance in "The Piano" demonstrated the diversity of which he is highly capable. As well, his delivery for his character in the movie "Smoke" was outstanding. If I see his name listed in the cast of a movie, it's a keeper. Bravo for creating this much-deserved tribute to Harvey, and thank you for sharing it with us here; I hope that he sees it - it would behoove him to know how much he is favored.
Does anyone remember the video tributing Harvey Keitel called Tough Guy? I can't find the song anywhere and I think it's called Tough Guy by Plasticman?
acashfan1: You know that's a lot like Sammy Davis Jrs' career. He had over 20 hit records in the 50s and 60s and only one sold a million records: The Candy Man!!! Same with Chuck Berry. In the 50s and 60s he would record one hit after another. However; the only song to sell a million was My Ding-a-ling!!! Sometimes you have to sing a novelty song to be noticed. Joe Scibette
I find it sad that Harvey Keitel never got an Oscar. The acting styles of Robert DeNiro and his are so similar. (Check out MEAN STREETS; they could've played brothers in that movie)In some ways, he is a better actor than DeNiro, but it never gets noticed (only his fans see it). He could've played the lead in Raging Bull. I'm not taking it away from DeNiro. I'm just saying Keitel has been passed over too many times. What do you think? Joe
@GJoeJ010841 in what ways is he better than De Niro? and also, saying he could of played a role just as well as someone already did is a pretty ignorant comment. Just saying.
harvey keitel also likes techno

He should have gotten an Oscar for playing the pimp in "Taxi Driver." That was one of the most amazing performances that I've ever seen.

Harvey Keitel is one of the best actors alive. I would see a movie just because he is in it. He was in Little Nicky and Res Dogs.
