  • noob question, how did you get those cinematics?

  • @MrUNITEDTiLLiDIE when u win or loose in the campaingh u get one of them reprezenting youre faction

  • Comment removed

  • 1.ok they had the same enemy

2.no Greece steel exists so and britons germans egyptians but not gauls parthians or persians spanish BUT gauls became france parthans or persians became iran and spanish continued to be spanish after the fall of the empire

  • @djkapalof

well i dont think you have to be massacred like jews to be considered "destroyed",those countries might not be COMPLETELY WIPED OUT,but they were assimulated into the roman culture for centuries,so they lost all their culture and tradition and beliefs and all that.and after the fall of the empire, they were never the same again.like i dont think in the dark ages,in 6th century, the greeks still worshipped zeus did they?no,their culture is destroyed for good

  • LMAO!!!! now even video have erase tapes!!!

  • brilliant well made video

  • lol "they all have the same enemys" first thing they have in common

"the romans destroyed them" the second thing they have in common

  • Really good video mate

  • what language is the song?

  • LMAO "all these people have two things the same"... nice video but that just sounded so dorky i had to laugh!!!

i think u meant: "all these people have something in common" nice video, but you can't spell lol.

  • @MoRtALGoDTiTaN How do you derive the conclusion that he cannot spell if nothing was mispelled?

  • The Roman Empire was one of the best.

They had bring law, justice, art in forgotten places.

Their legacy will live on until the end of the time.

  • @Diabolik01c They brought law of the conqueror, and justice for citizens. Art was a replica of Greek one. Science? Unexistant compared to Greek. Julius Caesar's action in Gaul would be called genocide in modern times, Rome trampled on newly created Gaul state, who knows what they could achieve... Same goes to Carthage, Greek city-states, ptolemaic Egypt... Rome was powerful because of good infrastructure.

  • @arek314 I DIDN'T say science if the first place.

They had a ability to take whatever is best from a nation, and "integrate" in there own empire. They learned, even from the enemy. And no other nation stood in there way. Big alliance ware forge, still Rome Empire didn't fall. /watch?v=YBN8LpMQOks from 5:21 on

  • epic video -epic music

  • i root for rome in this all these forces marching towards rome will fall

  • It would be sick, if all of these forces joined together in ancient times and faced rome. (Y)

  • actually even though part accurate it is not completly, the Greeks agreed to join Rome because of there decline and pirate armies attacking them, Germany was never taken Britons were parthia wasnt despite romes efforts but

Carthage was burned into the ground

  • Romulus Augustus was forced to abdicate by Odacer because they had taken Rome. Rome was captured before Romulus adbicated. Rome fell because of it's own stupidity. They over extended themselves and became far, far too overconfident. It was also the collapse of the Western Roman Empire which started the "Dark Ages," and humanity actually regressed hundreds of years. Weather patterns didn't help, either. If you read about it, Europe experienced some of the worst winters on ecord until WW 2.

  • Oh, and one more thing... Rome was captured with virtually no resistance. Rome was only invincible in it's own mind. The Roman's had been defeated on serveral occasions by various peoples, some defeats were almost massacres. Either way, overconfidence, harsh weather, over stretched manpower and resources, insane rulers, growing content (since the Romans treated everyone like shyt), etc. They did themselves in. If Rome had remains a Republic, it would have survived much longer.

  • dude in age of empires 1 or 2 or even 3 u cant even make armies big like that!! like look at that!!! that is like 600 000 000 people!

  • They weren't just the enemies of rome and were destroyed by rome. They were human, they breathed air, they were part of the old world... ect.

  • the music in the film is just awesome. its the only film that makes me cry :'(

  • Rome was the last civilized nation to live before barbarians ruled the world

  • @TheAwp45 ? china? think about the east rome was the last real europeon people

  • @yankeemanful

China and India had many acts of barbarism. idk something like that. Yes Eastern Rome was the last real one.

  • @TheAwp45 Your thinking of the Mongolians but since they used to part of China I guess in a way your right.

  • @yankeemanful dude china was not barbarian that was the people of the steppes later called the mongols china was didvided into different warring factions much like rome in rtw the most powerful was chin, where the name china comes from chin-a

  • Lovely!, even i like medieval total w.

  • @TenerifeGuy89 Ive played them both but i like Rome more cause Medieval is more complicated

  • that sounds like a song from gladiator

  • @Musician992 That...is because it is. It's from the soundtrack. Lisa Gerrard and Hans Zimmer - Now we are free.

  • nice song :)

  • wich program did you use ?

  • impresionante 5/5

  • lol not really destroyed. The Germans still exist. They weren't destroyed by Romans or Huns or something else.

  • @goliaht4 tht right , in history the germans destroyed ROME by Odoacar Leader of the west gotics....udn the vandales coquer parts of north africa , ....and die saxons and franks .....build and lead the whole world to the middle age =)

  • @000EDITOR000 Rome fell because it's government fell apart. The germans didn't destroy Rome at all. If they even dared to attack Rome head on they'd be crushed. The Roman Empire collapsed in 476 as Romulus Augustus was forced to abdicate by Odoacer. Germans took advantage and the sacks began. Their government though had already been falling apart. And Rome has so many civil wars, if they got along with eachother they would have been even stronger.

  • @TrueUSMarine Had* So many civil wars. But yeah they didn't really fall or destroy Rome, Rome had collapsed before the germans began attacking. They collapsed from within.

  • @goliaht4 The Parthians still outlasted the Roman empire in the form of the Sassanids, as well.

  • @goliaht4

They split themselfes into francs, saxons,...

  • @goliaht4 indeed, the video even uses a german language. :D

  • i love this song its make me think of good things

  • Rome never destroyed Parthia(one of the Persian empires) and Rome wasn't their only enemy ...they had a lot of enemy just like Rome

  • dude!!!! you need to re consider your texts... it just taking away from a spectacular video

  • The same stuff all the time. Gladiator soundtracks, the same clips. What about something new?

  • tyhe gladiator music is good lol but i agree with you

  • I love it how when a light infantry unit makes that final blow against the enemy, it comes crashing down. Even an elephant does. It's funny to watch a Velite kick and elephant's ass.

  • u win as that faction

  • alcody are you talking about ram. if it is ram then no

  • 1.6ghz

  • its good in low medium

  • is 1.6 and 1gb a fast speed??????? for a computer

  • depends what you want to do with the computer

  • not really for gaming most pc's have at lest like 2.0 gb

  • this is a very good vid + good music

  • nice video

  • I think the most strongest and the most powerful Rome enemy was the Sassanid Persian Empire.

However the Black Huns were very dangerous as well.

  • awesome vid n music, i love it its from gladiator. a little work on grammar but the movies is great

  • Super vidéo, et super musique MAGNIFIQUE !

  • ROMA is the biggest empire of ever!

  • its a grate game, i love how they gave every soldure sutch indepth charictorstics

  • I agree with you about romans, but finally greeks, defeated them with their culture and created a new empire which is the longest(time) empire in the world, the Byzantine Empire. Also, greeks were ununioned, they were cities-nations.

  • When you see this, you finally realised that to start somthing big, you have to tear down somthing else, or many things, to equal this. the romans defeated all these countrys and then resumed their way of life, maybe with diffirent names to their gods and diffrent customs, but basically the same thing, the same people were living there. all empires were forged by the fist of war, not the hand of Diplomacy.

  • well that how history is made by war and war alone nothing else

  • i dissagree culture and religion play a big roal in history as weel, religion is the puppet master for war

  • but u see religion is the main cuz of war, and the winning side determent what religion and that was how it work till the 1700's (when the US became a country) and war is how history is shape not religion

  • the roman conquest was not cause of religon it was an expansion cause the romans wanted more

  • what are u talking about......i didn't say a thing about religon (all i said was war is how history is made) idiot read before u talk

  • lol i have that alot too, i say something and some idiot goes wack and says i was talking about his religion and stuff :S

  • Religion was a non-issue in wars long before the US ever became a country, and really, what in the world does the US have to to do with anything?

  • oh ya really then how about the crusades religion had alot of stuff to do about that and then there were the people the hated the Jews....the people that left England for freedom of religion.....and this is just the start...ever since nations began they all have had religion...name one nation that doesn't have a religion?

  • Oh yes, we were talking about the 1700's and you bring up the crusades, how very relevant.

There was de-facto freedom of religion in the Dutch Republic far before the United States was founded.

What does nations having a religion have to do with anything? I mean, all nations have trees, maybe they started a war over those.

See how ridiculous that argument sounds?

  • well first of all that didn't even answer my question and where the heck did you get trees are u dumb or don't u listen?

Your not getting the point more pp would rather worry about what happens when they die rather then what they do in this life time.

right now the Muslim are on a so call holy war with the world and all non Muslim believers

what do you make of that? these wars of who god is better then who god?

and this dutch stuff i guess it's not a success cuz i never heard of it

  • That didn't answer your question because your question was not the least bit relevant.

How is it relevant about what people worry about?

You didn't hear about "this dutch stuff", because the 17th century is generally not studied as much, and since it contradicts American delusions of being the first in free speech, thought, religion etc.

  • first that not the question i'm talking about

second never hear of these dutch stuff cuz they never really got to the big leagues like the US

ur not trying to answer my question cuz u know u would lose

  • The Dutch Republic was the most advanced economy in the 17th century, owned half the world's trade ships, was the dominant naval power for a time during the late 17th century, and had the second strongest army in Europe in the early 18th century.

If that's not Big League then I don't know.

I'm not trying to answer your question because your question is retarded.

  • then what is the strongest army in europe in the 18th?England?srsly

  • No, France, the British Army was actually comparatively weak.

  • france/English/Prussian/Dutch

  • .. Muslims r not , But Israel is Anyway

  • yeah but religion dosent make a good game or video on youtube

  • wow awesome movie, I liked it very much ^^

  • great vid lol :p

  • R.I.P. to the men that have risked their lives for freedom or somethin like that

  • BUT, we persians whooped romes ass! UNLIKE THE OTHER ONES! WE CAPTURED A ROMAN EMPEROR! so suck it!

    lol great vid though

  • and then got assraped and no one heard from you guys again amazing :D

  • boy we came back every century after that as the timurids, safavids, afsharids, qajars, and so on! so suck it!

  • yea, they were SOOOO successful... not :]

  • timur the lame captured an ottoman sultan, safavids were one of the only nations to hold off ottomans, afsharids pwned india, russia, and ottomans, etc! SUCK IT! PERSIA FOREVER!

  • Very nice video...I liked the song and how you showed the enemies of rome first, then how they marched, and then the bodies...But remember, you have to destroy these people, even if they are good, to build an empire...

  • lol meroyn they were like sperate contries then... its like telling another country 2 help a poor country for no reason

  • no, they were not, they were 2 of the same. theye did not become seperrate truly until476 AD when Rome fell, until then the emperor of Rome could have seized th easztern throne and rightfully re-united it. Justinian The Great tried to restore Wsetern Rome but the east could not sustain it.

  • Man That s a GREAT Video. Seriously....GREAT! It really shows the struggle of so many against one single culture. Really good!

  • Wonderful game, too bad that its true that the Romans conquered and killed so many. They were a terrible people who thought that they were entitled to rule the world, and in the end how pitiful and anticlimactic was their fall.

However their contributions in the field of culture is admirable and to be commended. The next great Empire after them were the Mongols who ruled a realm twice that of Rome. Despite the stereotype that Mongols were barbarians their rulers were quite civilized.

  • So did the Great Britain to an extent, but what both have in common is they adapted and improvednations for the better, which is more than anyone can say about other super powers now adays like russia and america lol useless bastards

  • Well thats partly true, but the part of Nations being better off from their presence is a mtter of opinion, particularly some of the nations of Africa who were better off before colonial dominaton, then there ae those that have done better such as India (although it was a hard struggle for them) and China who while not dominated had a tough time with colonial powers, but I think I understand what you are trying to say,

thank you for the reply, I do agree with you about the modern superpowers

  • Hong kong is probably the best success story, but then it was a colony for the longest so it got a lot of investment sheer otherwise it would still be a small fishing village. Austriallia, NewZealand, South Africa, Kenya, Canada, Inidia, Thailand, SriLanka, pre mugabe Zimbabwe, they were all economic and lawful gems. ethiopia is the only nation in africa not to have been colonised - it is the poorest state in the world which conditions the same as 50 years ago

  • Yes indeed, in fact you mentioned Thailand which was Siam at the time, the only nation in Southeast Asia at the time that was not colonized, and neither was Japan, but what set them apart was to try and modernize their countries and sort of "ride the wave" rather than try to stand against it. Japan was humiliated by westrn powers and so was China and so they decided to learn from thos experiencese rather than ignore that the times had changed. Btw Its nice to talk to someone who knows history!

  • RetardedPickle you are a 1st class douche bag.

  • mongols? hey arose in the 1200's.

the next great Empire was Charlemagne's, he conquered most of europe and rome, crowning himself holy roman emperor.

The Persians also had a vast Empire. Do not forget though, only One half of the Roman empire collapsed, the East thrived until 1453, at one point reconquering Italy, southern Spain and North Africa. then the Arabian Empire began in the 650's.

  • Ah yes, you are right, forgive me, the thing that really impresses me about the Mongol rule is that while they lacked the vast beauracracy of the Romans and the ability to effectivly govern such a vast realm was the level of lawfulness they mantained, it is said that at the hight of their reign a single woman carrying a bag of gold could travel the silk road safely within their land.

I personally think its sad that many nations with periods of greatness in their past are poor or weak now.

  • very true, they did bring some sort of political stability in a vast area of land that had previously been rifled by war between the great powers

  • Comment removed

  • love the fields full of bodies after bettles :D

  • i must watch gladiator again :/

  • hahahaha..... rome owned everyone but couldnt own itself, is why it got destroyed by itself

  • You are right.

Their empire became to big to control it..

It had to turn back into a republic that would maybe safe rome so we would be still speaking latin.

  • I think the Eastern emperor should have done more to help Rome instead of sit back and watch the western world plunge into the dark ages

  • Great music choice. The end of Gladiator gave me goose bumps thanks to this song. 4/5

  • Ok, all you guys arguing about the whole "Oh, Rome didn't destroy Germania", well you're right. The Romans held them at around the Rhine River and places like that. 2 things very bad happened.

1= Civil war started in Italy (silly Romans can't get along) forcing the soldiers to head all the way back to Italy and

2= Romans became Christians (religion does a lot of things) and they all became pacifists

So seeing an opening, the Huns, the Vandals (or was it Vangals), the Goths, etc. invaded

  • that's a factor but not the whole picture.

the army was so powerful that it assasinated a series of emperors leading to a crisis of leadership and political stability. to counter this, emperors tripled the amry's wages, destroying the economy, increasing inflation and weakening the empires ability to defend itself. corruption destroyed production of 'good' generals in battle as well as 'good emperors'.

it also happened to be the wrong time for mass migration and total war, thus Rome fell

  • I still play this game. trying to get every faction down with Gaul at the moment.

  • pretty impossible. i've only ever managed Spain, Gual, Germany, Britain, Italy and Greece before, after that defeating Eqypt is impossible. at one point i found myself with only britain, with Greece owning most of western europe, but i pulled it around only to find egypt impossibly strong beyond turkey and carthage

  • requaurum of a drem would go good with this vid

  • is cool

  • love the song

  • God damn that is so far the best vid i've ever watched

  • best vid ever!

    and best music,too!

  • The Romans where always winning because they took every armor, weapon and shield priviledges from the Empires they crushed, so in the end it was very hard to penetrate through the armors

  • esentialy it was money that made the roman military strong that way they could aford armor for all thier men and a common tactic was to send in mercinaries first to tire the enemy then send in the legionaries and sice the mercs had been weakend many times they would just straight up kill em and take thier money/ goods back

  • the only things that make romans strong are the lots and lots of soldiers and the loyalty of their soldiers

  • not true, it's their discipline that was the biggest advantage

  • TRUE

  • It was their techniques, their formations, their weapons and armor, discipline and strategies which were their military advantages, but the Roman Empire also had a highly developed tax system, professional management of cities and the best roads in the known world.

  • so true but I was mainly talking about military, look at the greeks they just had falanxx that was their main strategy in the ancient times and it could only be maintained by disciplined, just like the early hastati their armor and weaponry weren't that advanced so discipline was then main factor, and it was fundamental during the rise of the empire...

  • The Hastatii armor and weapons were superior to any enemy the fought during the rise of the empire. The Greek Phalanx's main flaw was that it was easily flanked by light cavalry, such as the Equites, and Rome knew how to exploit such weaknesses. Discipline was a very important factor, yes, but the Greek and Macedonian troops were undoubtedly as disciplined: Discipline is required to build an army; strategy is required to conquer one.

  • during the rise the empire only the priveleged people (the rich) fought for Rome and they had to provide their own armor,

hastati were introduced later in the rise of the empire, and they had all the same weapons so in the case of the soldiers fighting before the hastati formed soldiers, discipline was crucial...

Especially when fighting the greek cities in order to defeat them in southern Italy.

  • The roman army was stronger then the phallanx´s in front to front ... Because they used the pilum before charging..they would trow it until desorganize their formation and charge.... if you remember Annibal said that the romam army always brake the enemy in the from ..the seleucians seeing that the phalax didn t worked with the romans ..they start copy there way of fighting and thats wy some factions have legions in their army

  • The Psidians, or Selucid, as you choose to call them, did not adopt the Roman style of combat. That only happens in the -game-. And the Roman legions were not stronger than the phalanx front to front; their infantry was simply to heavy and ill-suited to charge headalong into a phalanx. And honestly, you don't think one Pilum from each legionnaire would be enough to throw a phalanx in disarray, do you?

  • The phalaxes were actually more powerful up front because they were technically just a wall of spears but are easily slautered if flanked.

  • So very true. In many ways the modern world owes a lot to the roman empire. They had the biggest influence on the world when it comes to the management and layout out of cities, especially road systems and government. And ofcourse just as the romans had better weapons and overall just better technology at the time, it has indeed left its mark upon the world where today militaries are mobilized and greatly assisted by technology.

  • It also eventually spread christianity through the Roman Catholics after Constantine bacame emperor.

  • very tue

  • i hate guns i love javalins

  • SAME
