Did you all know that Ron Paul is not going to receive a congressional pension (after serving for 10 terms), never accepted medicare or medicaid while he was working as a Doctor (making $3 an hour) AND will only accept $39,000 per year as president... because that's what the average person in America makes?
Facts like this make it so obvious he's in this for the RIGHT reason and is one of the only HONEST people in Washington.

@sissumghy - what? many, if not most of our problems are because our constitution hasn't kept up with our current culture. it's a creaky document because of it's 230+ year age, so let's rewrite it, then we can be proud again. moving to a parliamentary system is first and formost, surely you agree with that. our founding fathers did the best they could, but they didn't know about jets, the internet, twitter or automatic rifles. so let's fix it!

@tnoyy34rt Our Constitution may seem outdated because we haven't been FOLLOWING it. Today, our government has thrown the Constitution out of the window. The Founders suggested that we let free markets dictate economic activity, refrain from policing the world, giving people and states more power than the Federal Government. There is evidence all over the place that government is inefficient in running things..How can you say the Constitution is out of date when we haven't even given it a chance?

@styles7887 - yes, most people agree our constitution needs to be fully rewritten and modernized, it's simply not a valid document based on our current internet based culture. we need to roll in many of the amendments, update the position of a "citizen" with regards to air travel and locality. fix the dumb gun laws, (which are currently based on single fire muskets, move to a parliamentary form of governance so people are more fairly represented, etc... so lt's time for a rewrite...

Americans aren't like Paul who wishes to return to the 1700's. We want a strong America based on better living, space exploration, love for all people, all cultures, etc.

The Constitution is and always will be relevant. This is a country where we should be afforded our rights. It wasn't that long ago that everything was changed; look back to the early 1900s when the Fed was just started. That was when we began to lose our freedoms.
