There is a film of the recording of this song. I don't know if you hear the issued take, but there is a great moment when the band starts up and Gregory Hines starts singing "Sentimental Journey" in a silly voice and the wrong key; the band stops playing because they're laughing too hard. Hines looks around in faux surprise as if nothing's wrong. Brilliant song, great artists.

I own this album. Purchased it on import in the UK when it first came out. Excellent album all the way through. Love this track.

This is a Classic Album.......HARD to find, more available in the UK than here. I have been looking for it for weeks. The best is "My Old Friend", was played at a friend of our's memorial.....a GREAT CD.

We used to have this great jazz station here in Detroit called WJZZ. This was a song frequent in it's rotation. And it sounds just as good now as it did then. Thanks for triggering the good memories and may God Bless You.
