I had a close family friend who tried hypnosis to quit smoking. It was too late for him. He died 3 yrs. ago. My father died of lung cancer due to smoking almost his entire life 5 yrs. ago. I would say it depends on the persons' will to want to quit and methods. Everything works differently for different people. I'm setting a date and asking friends and family (who are non-smokers) to give me support.
