För alla som undrar är det en Volvo t5 motor med 519hk och 633 nm som sitter i. Denna filmen ligger uppe på Saab Turbo Club of Swedens hemsida. Antar att även drivlinan är Volvo. Personligen tycker jag att en Saab ska vara en Saab och en Volvo ska vara en Volvo. Saab äger.

@Riberaberubu Att fwd-bilar vinner kraft mot rwd-bilar pga drivlinan e bara bullshit.. kanske på rullande landsväg, men tar du ut dom på gatan så märker du att om du har mer än 250 pollar i en fwd-bil så spinner skiten på alla användningsbara växlar. Plus att en rwd-bil är så SJUKT mycket lättare att hantera om man nu "kan köra"...

@ErikLande Det är inte alls bullshit. På en framhjulsdriven bil (om motorn sitter fram, ex. saab) går ju all kraft direkt ut till hjulen, medan (förutsett att motorn sitter fram, exempelvis en volvo) en bakhjulsdriven bil ska ta sig igenom kardan och grejjer innan kraften kommer till hjulen. Dock så är det som du säger, en framhjulsdriven bil har inte nytta av kraften och spinner mycket lättare eftersom den ska dra hela skiten, medan den bakhjulsdrivna puttar på.

Kanske om volvon har större motor än saaben, en saab med 2 liters motor har mer effekt än en volvo med lika stor motor eftersom mycke effekt försvinner om den ska till bakdäcken, dessutom så är det helt enkelt så att framhjulsdrift är bättre och snabbare på kurvtagning än om man måste ligga 90 grader och parera överstyrning hela tiden, framhjulsdrift är bara att gasa sirru. men dehär me dragrace är ju helt värdelöst, en 8åring kan ju vinna i det om han får en snabb bil..

De sista bilarna i Grupp B rally som var den snabbaste och mest extrema tävlingsklassen i rally som INTE var fyrhjulsdrivna va bakhjulsdrivna. Till mig minnes har det aldrig funnits en framhjulsdriven Grupp B bil. Anledningen till alla små rallybilar är framhjulsdrivna är för att orginalet är det och det är en standardbils klass.

@MrPiskfinne The engine in my old Saab 900i is bulletproof. The car has 250000 km on the meter. And the gearbox is the same. But the gearbox is not as bulletproof, but it has not collapsed yet. ;)

@yamahaevo Inkorrekt, 1962 tillverkades Chevrolet Corvair Monza med ett turboaggregat som fungerade väldigt bra för dagligt bruk. Fanns även Oldsmobile Cutlass Jetfire som hade turbo det året men den var mycket mindre hållbar. Även BMW var före Saab med turbo. Oh såklart så har vi ju peugeot som släppte en turbodiesel (tror det var diesel) det året.

Im in the U.S. jap cars are the best engineered to me i have little experience with saab but myself and everyone i know dont look forward to doing repairs on them. i guess in europe you have to work on those shitty german cars like VW and audi so i could see where you wouldnt mind working on a saab must be a great relieffor european mechanics haha!

@hjalmeeen1 No they weren't, oldsmobile or something did it lots of years earlier. *However* SAAB is generally considered to be the first car manufacturer that managed to use the turbocharger concept effectively and reliably.

@RonniesGarage I've done plenty of regular maintenance on my current generation 9-3 and have found everything to be logically laid out and easily to do. This includes engine & cabin air filters, spark plugs, and brake pads and rotors. Nearly all their cars are 4 cylinder turbos so there's lots of room in the engine bay. About the only pain is that they use torx screws and bolts for everything.

@124Z312 well.. theyr easy to tune, couse saab havent been able to afford engineering and building several diffrent engines. so they stick to one basic one, and just tunes it down to the tax-class set.. cheaper to build lots of one, instead of many diffrent ones. that they have done with all the cables and everything other to inside the car. so all theyr cars is set up for the best and most equipped models, just stripped for the main parts. Damn i love that saab is out of GM!

@124Z312 well.. i have to say i have enjoyed driving 99, 900, 900s, 93 and 95. havent tryed the newest 95, but i think the 02-04 saab95 is the best looking ones of the older models. That with a tuned 2.3t engine is just awesome to drive. Cheap parts in sweden to, and great pic for pic guide on internet, of most repairs needed. So I can guarantee you wont find a merchedes or bmw to that prize, wich are as good and fun to drive. :)

@homer4179 hahaha, u just failed heavily :D this isnt a normal saab, its a VaaL (mix between volvo and saab xD) they changed the engine of the saab and put in a volvo engine Bcos the Volvo enginge is much easier to tune and works better with turbos. i have seen this car irland it dose look a bit weird but u better watch ur mouth B4 u say something about something, look it up and see 4 ur self.
