As much as he tries to deny it or deflect it, Rush is definitely a blue blood (consider the fortress he lives in, the clothes, the cigars, the trips etc) and is really nothing more than an actor tapping into a feeling (by his own admission at 5:36-:46): he has little in common with his listeners. But he is right about one thing: people are willing to pay for what he brings to the table (advertisers) and he does it well, so you gotta give him credit for that.

I love that Rush was just making fun of Obama's ego, and now he's saying he is worth vastly more than he is earning.He's an awesome, humble guy.
It is also sweet that the free market is the very reason Rush was dropped from his buyers group: it was a business venture, and he was a threat to their chances of winning ownership of the team. Now he cries foul. That's the way the cookie crumbles, honey....

These people made up vicious lies about things Rush never said. They all deserve to be sued for lible and I hope they get it. Rush has enough money to tie this thing up in court for a long time and I hope he does.

As much as he tries to deny it or deflect it, Rush is definitely a blue blood (consider the fortress he lives in, the clothes, the cigars, the trips etc) and is really nothing more than an actor tapping into a feeling (by his own admission at 5:36-:46): he has little in common with his listeners. But he is right about one thing: people are willing to pay for what he brings to the table (advertisers) and he does it well, so you gotta give him credit for that.

Clearly. How could Rush represent the interests of the common man, his listeners, when he shares none of their adversities and lives in a world apart from main street America (literally a world apart--a Taj Mahal in Palm Beach)? Why would he care about things that have no effect on his life (healthcare debate, unemployment, 4th tour of duty)? After all, by his own admission, your struggles arent his responsibility to care or do something about.
