Very slow, but the the solos were amazing. The trumpet blew me away. I never thought anyone would even attempt to touch Maynard's solo.

what key are you playing this in??? i can't seem to get the notes before 1:12. doesn't the first note of the whole cadenza start on a B, then for F to G???

John, you ROCK! Maynard is smiling. We did this song all the time in jazz and pep band, I STILL get the chills after 20+ years. I have no idea what happened to your band, it was sad to hear it fall apart. Took all my excitement away. Awesome trumpet though!!!!

yo, thats the best version, other than maynard, i've ever heard!!! My HS just played the original arrangment, and i loved it. We had a guy named Jeff Gibons do the entry solo, and he was about like that. RIP Maynard.
