I admit, I have occasionally smelled a good book now and then. :)
There was a fire in my town and one of my favorite bookstores had to close indefinitely due to water damage. I feel so sad whenever I pass by it. And all their books were damaged too, which honestly made me want to take all of those books home and care for them....even though I don't know how to repair water-damaged books.
The lovely, shy, and Yale-educated Rory, who blossomed into a lady onscreen and inspired millions of adolescent fans to always stay true to themselves.
I used to be like Rory, carrying a book everywhere, always having one in my purse. People used to tell me they were afraid to talk to me because they didn't want to interript my reading. I don't make time to read anymore. I miss it.
Unlike Gossip Girl or other popular shows and their lead characters, I've always loved how Rory Gilmore could be a real inspiration and role model to girls her age by showing that you can still be cute AND smart :) hehe
@bluehibiscus14 I know, that's one of the reasons why I had a thing for Rory - her book addiction was very endearing. And it made her acceptance into Yale realistic, rather than in those other shows where the main characters automatically go off to Berkeley or Harvard or wherever and you'd never once seen them even pick up a book.
And you can see that the show went downhill the moment they tried to make it little more "cool" with Logan and his rich friends and their "adventures" with that ridiculous Life and Death Brigade, and Rory being a party girl among other things.
@joaoluizsn logan was no worse than jess, who was never honest with her, never did what she wanted to do and pouted when he did, and routinely abandoned her. and rory didnt like logan because she was rich, she liked him because he was smart enough to keep up with her intellectually and shared her sarcastic sense of humor. logan didnt tell her to drop out of school, she did that on her own. logan was the best match for rory

That is me to a T. One of the reasons I fell in love with Gilmore Girls. The other reason was because it was hilarious.
Another quote I can remember.
"It's Rory? How much room can she take?"
"Did she bring her books?"

@bluehibiscus14 I completely agree too, I think that's partly what I loved so much about Rory's character and the show.
