  • Wow

  • Thanks for showing the detail on these figures. I would have loved to get them both but hottoys are a bit out of my price range. Shame about the face sculpt on the Kane figure but the suit detail is amazing. The gadget Dallas is holding is the collapsable winch tripod they used to lower Kane into the egg chamber.

  • @Talos1963 Thanks for the info and glad you liked it :)

  • You wanna sell Kane or Dallas?

  • @MrLeerevill Not just yet but if I do I will let you know.

  • @RobotOnLine Thanks for letting me know :) just lost out on ebay :(

  • is the face hugger removeble?

  • @gandcsportswar No it's part of the sculpt.

  • @Swedencollector Wow, you found one of my older videos, these are really bad lol.

I don't think I even had any cabinets when this was filmed, I used to just put things on the floor or on top of my bookcase. Thank god I eventually got myself organised.

    Cheers Andy

  • BTW - H. R. Geiger did not design the space suits.

And why does the "Kane" head not look anything like the actor who played him, John Hurt?

  • @komodo1968 It was rumoured they had problems trying to get permission to use John Hurt's likeness so they used an actor that was only used in some early screen tests.

  • @RobotOnLine I did some research and found out that the original actor cast as "Kane" was Jon Finch. He did not have a mustache despite what the toy depicts . . . very confusing . . . looks too much like "Dallas".

  • how did the facehugger get on kane did it smash thru the helmet

  • In the movie it did, yes.

  • @AlienVsPreditorR

In the movie it showed acid burns on the helmets glass so Im assuming it forcd its way through using its blood some how. Butthat wouldnt explain why Kane's face wasnt burned, or how in Aliens when the Marines found the face hugger's in the glass tubed why they couldnt get out

  • The mysteries of science fiction ;-)

  • these are wicked figures...the space suits remind me of the old fashioned deep sea diver suits. Maybe H. R. Geiger was inspired by those diving suits. nice review 5 stars

  • love these figures

  • These look AWESOME! Very nice detail. I think we do not ever see the suits in a bright light at all in the film. These colors could be very correct. I have seen ALIEN umpteen times, and I only remember seeing the suits outside the ship. It was darkly lit. I agree. with you RobotOnLine...they should produce the Ripley in pantys and tank top(maybe the white space suit on the side)

  • Thanks Scrambuild, I've actually stoped collecting 1:6 scale figures so I can concentrate on 1:4 scale and 1:1.....but if they produce Ripley in panties...well how could I resist!

  • awsome Dallas, looks just like tom skerrit.

Oh, and that do-dad; I think its called a thingamafucker

  • Shame they couldn't get the licence for John Hurts noggin ;-)

    Thanks for the comments

  • I think they should produce a special white version with Ripley. That would totally rock.

  • Or perhaps Ripley in just nickers and T-shirt...even better }-)

  • You're mistaken, it looks exactly like the movie costume. I have tons of behind the scenes photos and videos on this amazing piece of celluloid. This movie is my favorite of all time. Totally owns ALIENS. Ridley Scott owns James Cameron too.

  • ALIEN and ALIENS are two different films. ALIEN is a horror movie, while ALIENS is an action movie. They both succeed spectacularly in the story that is told. If I had to choose between them both, I would always choose ALIEN. But I think ALIENS is a superb sequel that really exceeded everyones expectations.

  • The colours on the suit are really messed up, it doesn't look anything like the original from the "ALIEN" movie

  • You could be right, it was quite a dark film so I'm not to sure.

  • isnt his name keel not kane

  • nice pieces there.i recommend that you try to get the hot toys terminator endo skeletons as they are superb.the battle damaged one is the best.you should also try to get the robocop to go with your ed-209 as it is the best robocop on the market, its even better than the premium format one..

  • I did order the Hot Toys Robocop from Play but it got lost in the post, they tried to send out a replacement and that got lost to, a 3rd one was not an option as they had sold out....gutted.

  • Nice one bro... the details and light up functions are great ya...

but the stripes are really so loose ya...

it always manage to get loose while handling the figure... ;- (

  • Some of the straps are a bit loose, they very fragile figures.

  • totally agree.

  • Wow the detail is superb !

    Are theses SideShow ?

My brother has an alien figure but i dont have any in my collection.

  • They are made by Hot Toys but can be bought from Sideshow's website.

  • great review. i really want to get DALLAS.

  • The head sculpt on Dallas is spot on, recommended.
