Obviously this performance was shown on an American network TV show (Late Night with Conan O'Brien on NBC) . At the time, the showed aired at 12:35AM. Okay fine. But watching it right now, what actually is inappropriate?
The minor warning is completely absurd. Maybe they don't want minors to know that bands in the 90's were of mixed genders vs. the boys club it's become these days?

ive loved this song since it came out in the 90s but this live performance was kinda disappointing, she has no stage presence, the lead guitar was totally playing over everyone
Ooops there were tons of bands from the time period, but I also want to mention Jeff Buckley. Rock has pretty much faded since that creative peak in early/mid 90s.
Her voice matches her beauty. Dave's songwriting skills were amazing and Hope's voice was totally original. They only made three albums and disappeared from the mainstream. Those were the days: Nirvana, PJ, PJ Harvey, Mazzy Star, Sunny Day Real Estate, etc.
Watching this months later, I can only wonder why YouTube flagged this clip is possibly "Inappropriate". It should be flagged as an example on a so-called one hit wonder. And it's not like this was a Billboard Top Ten Hit; but it is a great song. Easy to play on guitar; and the song tells a great story.
I think that some songs get flagged simply because people don't like them or get offended over stupid things no one else does. Obviously this is a great song. Hope Sandoval is as captivating as ever. There is no reason it should be flagged. The people who flagged it should be flogged :- )

yeah the slide guitar was way too loud and was drowning out the subtle but beautiful and essential piano/keys. i think the guitar plays more often in this version too. still pretty cool.
no they had a bad breakup. it might have also been why hope and david almost re-formed mazzy star in 2003 (and possibly hooked back up?)before stepping back. they recorded an entirely new record that has not been released to this day. i imagine it is sitting in the rough trade vaults in the UK waiting to be released.

It's been said she doesn't like performance live sometimes because she's really shy. I've also heard she likes performing in near darkness too.
