It HAS been announced. The trailer is supposed to be released in late March. 20-30 if I remember the post right. These WILL not be the characters. These are the L4D1 People in the Game of the Year Edition. The characters ( I think ) Will be a mixture of L4D 1 and 2, although not Bill, considering he dies.
