  • excelent

  • i listen to this song on my ipod an it just makes me wanna jump on the freight train that runs through the woods behind my house an just let it take me were it goes

  • Seems, "drumdude46," had a bit too much peyote in his coffee and found himself in the middle of a David Lynch movie. Then, along comes, "pittresident," who takes exception to the "dudes," feelgood moment, which set off a bonfire of expletives back and forth, making me feel that we need to get Oprah involved, maybe do a once a week show titled; "Why Some You Tuber's Are So Sesnsitive That Dr. Phil Can't Help Them?" LOL!!!!!

Oh, helluva song Dwight. Gets better each time I hear it.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @rockinroller7 hahahahahaha! too much bud for drumdude46!...

  • @heather196565

LOL!!! Or, maybe not enough of something else,,,LOL!

  • @rockinroller7

You are fu%$ning stoned. Your opinion? Is gay.

  • @darvon63 thats you opinion, jk i agree with you

  • Dwight we love you man.

  • Toby Keith kind of sounds like Dwight in this song.

  • @untaintableundies

Toby Keith WISHES he sounds like Dwight. Dwight owns this song.

  • Big song!! the best Dwght yoakam!! from Brazil.

  • Great song!

  • this song takes me out into the Desert, driving at night, just like in the scene from David Lynch's Movie "Wild at Heart" or something. driving, a faint moon our, still night, thinking about a long lost love, a burning ache and empty, lonely feeling that lingers, a howl in the wind, in your mind and gut, with the Ghost's of the Desert swirling all around you, your mind racing, as you punch it, and roar thru the darkness. think the beginning of "Lost Highway" . man, perfect.

  • @drumdude46 You're so gay.

  • @pittresident Lol! normally i totally berate and rip apart Moron's like you but.......Lol! that was actually funny. nice dude! ha-ha

  • @drumdude46 I normally talk down on dumb shits, such as yourself, as if they don't have an ounce of intelligence in their whole body.

  • Lol! again, you've clearly shown what a typical, combative YouTuber Numbskull you are. Go kill yourself, then your whole, White-Trash Family. your a disgrace to the Race. Fuck Off Asshole, now, and in the Hereafter. Lol! ha-ha-ha-ha

(how's that for bein' mean n' nasty?) Cunt.

  • @drumdude46 So I guess that means you and I are in the same boat, asshat? How about you take your depressed, suicidal family and jump off a bridge and do the world a favor by not having to put up with your and your family. Then you can all go to hell where you will rot and burn with your dead grandma.

  • @drumdude46

Dude thats fuckin crazy. I'm at the same part in the movie were they are driving through the desert. I paused the movie, to look up chris issaks wicked games, cause it was playing on the radio while they were driving, and it made me want to watch a live version of the song. So when I watched the live version on leno it reminded me of these performances of dwights, then I saw your comment, and it blew my fuckin mind. I literally have wild at haert minimized, and paused at that scene.

  • Just so happens Dwight came to Yuma here several months ago, and it was perhaps the most enjoyable concert venue I have ever attended. If your itching for a desert visit, head west to Arizona. Yuma has more sun than any other place in the U.S.A Today it was a mild 112 degrees, but you know what? The desert life is best for me. Yep, there's something about the old southwest you can't find anywhere else. Oww-whoo!

  • @drumdude46 Nothing like that, but I recall a really fantastic guy in a cool jacket doing one of the best concerts I have ever seen. I am a rock fan,not country but I still thought he was FANTASTIC !!!! True talent and a super cool guy !

  • I love his jacket,just beautiful !!! His music is terrific,too,but I want that fringed jacket !

  • .o1 Did I hear TWANG anyone?

  • @taoistcowboy123 Twang is good!

  • Great singer!

  • dwight is the fuckin man

  • Dwight Live...is a Memory U will Savour...FOREVER...I still remember the First Time and Last Time...and long for the Next...He has it ALL.

  • Dwight is the Man!! And yea,as usual he is under appreciated cause he dont suck his way to the top,he dont have to,SO THERE!! He the BEST EVER!! ALL ON HIS OWN,hes a man in charge of his own island!

  • Dwight! You should tour Norway sometime!

  • real country, not that pop shit

  • I am 34yo and have been a fan since I was a kid. He is one of very few singers that when I hear them sing no matter how bad of a day I might be having I immeadately slide into a btter mood. Yoakam Rocks !!!! LOL keep going and here is to hopefully many more great songs.

  • such a bad ass......

  • This man is just ... BRILLIANT!

  • masively underappreciated artist,I've been to a bunch of his shows and he always brings it.Millions get him,.and yes he's famous and awesome,..but he just isn't getting the play and attention he already has earned. The great thing is hes Okay with it cuz hes just doing what he does,.and his music and fans is his own reward as he is comfortable with himself.

  • @ravenfork uh, hes sold 25+ million records dude. im pretty sure that qualifies as being appreciated, no?

  • oh yeah this is my drinkin tune for shure!real country and real lyrics!

  • Great performance!

  • Great unique voice. Not a part of the cookie cutter late 90's to present group. No automatic pitch correction either. Hello Taylor...

  • AWESOME SONG !!!!!!

  • AWESOME!! Dwight rules!! Pete Anderson rocks!!

  • DWIGHT CONCERT IN 2 HOURS!!! CEASARS WINDSOR!!! 14th row!! WOOOOOO

  • Wow what a man and voise!

  • wow. hard to tell, but the drummer sort of looks like Bryan Adams long-time Drummer, Mickey Curry. same hair stlye, and watching him, very similiar Hand and Body style/movements. although i'd have to wonder what a Rock Drummer like Mickey would be doing playing with Dwight. not altogether impossible though.

  • my fav dwight scene is when he cusses everbody out in slingblade right after{hell we aint got no fuckin microphones}

  • @myledbettersong ...we dont need to fucking practice randy.....lmao good scene

  • great song, great voice, great guitar- and im mostly into rock. taylor swift is cute and sweet, but her voice is real weak and not always on pitch. dwight makes acts like hers look real weak.

  • Nice voice ;D

  • noone in country music looks as good in tight jeans than Dwight! WOW

  • fantastic only

  • This is a great acoustic version! I love it! Incredible what he can do with his voice... Amazing!

  • check dwight in the crank movies.one and two!

  • Does anyone know anythig about that blue telecaster? I've never seen one with a tremolo before. Dig the sound.

  • same with les pauls they make em like that too now. withouth the bigsby and using floydd rose

  • I have seen a handfull of Tele's with Strat trems in them, but I think the ones with them are custom built (I've never seen one Fender has put into mass production). They do manufacture some with Bigsby's on them though.

  • Don't quote me but I think it's a custom Cimarron guitar, Tele style, with a tremolo tail piece. Pete's style is what makes it come alive. Great guitars are a dime a dozen but it's the player that makes any guitar sing.

  • Oh...yes...he wore this jacket in Ottawa, Ontario. I was there and took pictures. He also wore the tight redish leather pants. Delicious.

  • well 690 miles is fine by me..lol (from the X)

  • What concert is this from? It's obviously professionally filmed. I don't have any footage of him wearing the "This Time" jacket on stage.

  • its in the 90's

  • Grande Dwight Cowboy Forever....!!!

  • 1000 miles from all my ex's is not far enough!!!!!!

  • Cool!

  • Happy Birthday Dwight

  • This song is timeless actually. Love iittttt

  • One of the most distinct voices in music. Total legend.

  • I can see Dwight Yoakam's camel toe from 2:17 to 2:18. Holy Shit.

  • O, you are a sick fuck. I hate that about you, and I love that about you.

  • hey man this is called a camel tail for gods sake!

  • thats a moose knuckle

  • HAHAHAHA. thats hilarious..lols

  • he wasnt too bad in slingblade

  • 'Great song to visit now & again!'

  • His voice makes me feel better...

  • The man!

  • sums up my life pretty well. like this song. ;)

  • Hey I thought Carl split this guys head open with a lawn mower blade....

  • That kicks ass!!!!

  • i wish iwas 1ooo miles from nowhere.

  • Wow, this man is just irresistible...

  • i love him!!

  • heh thats cool! try listenin to Brooks and Dunn too there pretty awesom too!

  • There is no such thing as a cowboy song as "not

    good".

  • There is no such thing as a "not good" cowboy song.

  • I get what you're saying....but really if you listen to the studio version its just that kinda song. Laid back, kinda sad. This performance here is actually kinda growin on me

  • i know me to, kinda grows on ya lollllllll thank you for sharing that with me

  • dwight Yoakham could stand buck nakid & I'll still love his voice!!

  • With an image of you before my eyes

Taking the road to nowhere - anam-

  • I LOVE this song when I'm happy and boy, does it ever hit the spot when I'm feeling blue.

  • by decree of the supreme powers, this is the best!

  • Este tema se baila hasta hoy en Buenos Aires Argentina.

  • Pete Anderson on guitar kicks country ass!!

  • yeah pete anderson FTW! and that tele with a floyd is hella cool to.

  • i love this song...one of his best

  • no offense kentuckians, i grew up a hollow in tennessee so its ok

  • from muddy gut hollar kentucky ladies and gentleman, who says you cant come from nowhere and get huge!

  • one of the best country songs of all time, hell one of the BEST songs of all time hands down, he looks a bit chinky eyed there.

  • I want a woman! I am losing power !!!!!!!

  • Dwight is a good reminder that there is excellent music outside of Nashville.

  • I listen to dwight growing up my dad loves country music expecially dwight. Im 23 I dont mind him hes decent. I guess growing up with him hes not that bad. Brings back old memories.

  • Love him. How REAL Country should sound.

  • u the man dwight

  • this guy has more talent in his left pinky than everyone combined who is currently played on (so-called) country music radio

  • I Love this song so much.Dwight is such a great singer and actor.I love him and his music.Hope I can see him one day.

  • This guy is impossible to do a cover song on. I love this song. 5/5

  • A real country song, from a real country singer, classic stuff! I would rather hear Dwight cough than most people sing!

  • My mom and dad went to high school with his older brother and him at Northlands high school in columbus... they graduated when he was a freshmen but my dad knew his brother

  • the man he is from my home state.

  • Pete Anderson is a genius.

  • Shite. He doesn't drink.

  • i am a 1000 miles from nowhere!!!!

  • just love dwight

  • Loaded or not, "Dwigit" & Co. just *nail* this one! :-D How great is "1000MfN"? Well, I'm not all that big a country fan in the first place ("straight" country, that is --- I'm more "country-rock", if at-all), but this song, and DY's voice, are the very definition of "that high, lonesome sound", and it "gets you right here". Five Spurs --- err, I mean "Five Stars"! :-))

  • hes so drunk here. you can always tell when hes lit

  • he looks like hes coming down. hes ready to do a fat rail back stage and a few shots

  • I don't know how you can "always tell

    when he's lit" when he's a total non-drinker.

  • I can hardly wait to see him again~~

  • I do love Dwight and don't like comparisons...he is a fan of Buck Owens and so was Gram but to me every artist is only an artist in the sense of being who they are and a unique individual...the guys playing w Dwight are great for what he's doing...and Neils session players..well Nashvilles old A team.

  • nice song to penetrate your senses- sonia!

  • Nice Jacket!

  • one of my all-time favorite songs... and my GOD he is stoned out of his head on this vid, lol. makes me jealous... it's hard to get that high lmao.

  • Probably closer to Gram Parson's idea of 'cosmic American music' than The Eagles ever managed, but Jesus Dwight get yourself some half decent backing musicians, the sort that play with Neil Young on Harvest Moon, if you did this song would sound 10 times as good as this.

  • one of my best friends played on Harvest Moon and I was in the studio when Neil cut Prairie Wind with the same musicians from the earlier Nashville recordings, Ben Keith, Spooner, Karl, Reggie, and he had Wayne Jackson and the memphis horns, the fisk jubalee singer, emmylou, his wife pegi and diane...cool session and all great musicians but I don't think Dwight could get them...:)

  • thumbs up for this great song!

  • Guitar Master Pete Anderson is the perfect compliment to Dwight.

  • Skulldini hails!!!!! kkk

  • so fuckin great!!!!!!!!

  • Nice telecaster with a whammy bar/

Great tune at the end of RED ROCK WEST, too.

  • Man dwight Yoakam is the best of the best when it comes to country singers no one can hold a candle against Dwight yoakam is is byfar the father of country music he is just that awesome.

  • Yep!!!Lubbock,Texas 1000 mile from nowhere!!!There's not a soul here who does not like this song!!!

  • I remember listening to this song when I was in afghanistan

    F.O.B SHKIN

    07.14.03 - 04.21.04

  • This song was played at my friend 1st Lt. Joshua C. Hurley's funeral and is one of my favorites. Sure brings the memories and tears..

  • god bless him .

  • I'm so sorry about your fallen friend. This song will take on a new meaning for me, now.

  • Oh man his jacket is cool.. he just needs some emotions.. but over all I do like him..

  • yaa yaa yaa man

  • Love the coat! Love the man! It doesn't get any better than Dwight!

  • Yes....Yes it does

  • let's be real here, that jacket was not cool even 15 years ago in 94

  • He told Nashville to f*ck off, he is a Buck Owens disciple all the way. I loved Buck and Dwight is carrying on the Bakersfield sound. P*ss on Nashville anyway, Waylon never made it there and told em to kiss off. The list goes on and on.

  • Yes, add Merle & Willie to those who flipped off Nashvillewood. I work in filmmaking and we love to say adios to H'wood and their wasteful, ego-driven, money hungry way of storytelling. HM, Arizona desert & Mexico

  • I agree, FULLY! As for studios, it seems as far as television the best stuff is coming out of Vancouver and other PNW Locales and such these days, music is great in the small Cali locales, and Film is smack dab in the middle of the desert and Tex/Mex...keep it coming INDY scene...You're no longer a small commodity!

  • This song reminds me of #9 Dream by John Lennon. That's a good thing. Great song.

  • I love the song and dwight but he seems.....tired in this one

  • Great song played during the closing credits of the movie "Red Rock West"

  • Very appropriate for the movie it was too.

  • If you like Country Music or not..There are tons of Great Musicians

  • CLASSIC country

  • He's authentic as they come, stylish and at the same time surrounds himself with great personnel. Excellent video. Thanx a bunch!
