so wouldn't listening and trying to understand this video result in thinking? i can listen to it but to understand it i have to be open to thought otherwise its just noise with some pretty music in the back ground. ?
@1111BLAKE1111 You must watch without identifying or analyzing or thinking, this is how your mind controls you, you identify with it as being you when in actually it isn't. If you do not get what i am saying just read "The Power Of Now" By Eckhart Tolle a western interpreter of Zen. You could read the book or watch any of the video he has on youtube on the subject :)
@arained I can't be sure, as I am no student of Buddhism, but I have enough knowledge to where i think i know. "No mind" Probably references the deep meditation that a person can enter, wherein there is no worry, love, hate, or even a thought for that matter. A daunting task for any person, especially in this day and age of constant perception badgering.
@snowboarder952 That is one explanation, however, there are others. Mu shin is not just a form of deep meditation. In the Japanese martial arts we strive toward mu shin in our regular everyday lives, attempting to achieve zazen (total awareness). It's a difficult concept without proper training.
@Bigvader Mmm, yes. Much like the Hindu/Buddhist concept of ,"Self realisation", wherein one who is realised should be able to hold this state of tranquility and bliss while doing any activity in the physical world?
@snowboarder952 Very similar concept, yes. The primary purpose of this practice in the martial arts is to be completely aware of your surroundings and environment so as to, first, avoid conflict if possible; second, be ready and one step ahead of your opponent should conflict be unavoidable. Though this is the primary reason for said training, obviously it can serve a much broader purpose and extend into all aspects of one's life.
@Bigvader Awesome. Thanks for the info. I'm currently reading a book on Sri Ramana Maharshi, some Hindu Philosophy technically, but as I learn more I see that the two , that is Buddhism and Hinduism, are alot alike.
@Wolfsbane909 Yes, it seems from the science videos I have been watching, it does seem space is the primary ingredient for anything. The expanding universe is expanding space. All the rest is icing on an empty cake!
This website is designed for feeding your curiosity, and humbly, inform you about the secrets that have been hidden from you. At first, some information you see in this website might be too much for a beginner esoteric knowledge seeker, but once you start to connect the dots, since this world is like a puzzle, then you will have a chance to know thyself, universe, and the cause of all causes.
You really need to take a communications class. Its obvious you dont practice speaking, amazing information and presentation...but i had to turn it off because the narration ruined it.
In the treatise On No-Mind attributed to Bodhidharma the term no-mind is never meant nor intended to leave us with the impression that no-mind is against direct intuition or awakening to something transcendent. A more pithy meaning for no-mind is "no discriminating mind." Such a no discriminating mind is the same as True Mind. In fact the treatise says: "Indeed, no-mind is nothing other than true mind. And true mind is nothing other than no-mind" (trans. App).
How many comments complaining on the audio do you need to do something with your microphone? I've seen lots of them on your videos and yet you didn't do anything to solve the audio problem. Besides of that being inconsiderate to your viewers, it's a shame it renders all your effort to be useless, because otherwise the videos are quite interesting. Shame.
i would really like to watch this but unfortunately i really cannot follow it. i appreciate the effort and intention..... but it would really help if the speaker could be more trained....... :(
Then one has absolutely no understanding of somebody like Gautama. Philosophy belongs to the realm of the intellect, for any philosophy to be, one must cling to certain ideas, beliefs, and perspectives. These are areas that belong to the mind, and Gautama's whole approach is beyond the mind. It is not a question of words, beliefs, or thinking. It is a question of moving beyond all words, beliefs, and thinking and seeing directly into existence.
It is, but not in the sense of organized religion. The very meaning of the word religion comes from a Latin word ligare. It means "to bind" or "to connect". If one experiences life in such a way where one's consciousness is absolutely binded, integrated with existence, that is the ligare. That is also the phenomenon of yoga, the word yoga simply means "Union". What somebody like Gautama was transmitting was not a philosophy or belief system, but a method towards yoga.
u ppl make me sikk but laught my ass off at da same time
enjoy a shit life dawg i dun kno what happens after i wish i did or mayb not but im still livin how i choose now how mommy forced me to like u or cuz prison or w/e else made me lonely like everyone. idk i dun care i wont hate if u dun rub ur rubbish in my face.
Jesus also said he is love and that the only way to heaven was through him. So, isn't the only way to heaven through love? How do people who have never heard of jesus and never will, get to heaven? obviously he is not the only way to heaven/enlightenment. How do other beings on other planets find a full connection with God? I suggest you not limit yourself to a book that has been adjusted and changed for political reasons. For in God's creation you will find him, not the words of men.
I downloaded the "entire unedited" video, and it's only an extra 1:08. So don't bother with it if you're hoping the narration will be better, as I was.
Could you speak a little faster and more monotonous so I could not be able to follow you anymore and fall asleep. I am sure with this I will reach no-mind
He's got 10 minutes or less to do the voice over, good sir. "No mind" requires no understanding of any kind anyway. There is "nothing to understand". All you do is try to understand the mind and the way thoughts move. Remove all systems and symbols from your heart and mind. No mind is your pure being sitting calmly.
Just one tip: the voice is not very clear. I'm not a native english speaker, besides I can understand spoken english well, I think the sound could be better: slower, clearer, more equalized and without errors.

The speaker of these videos is very poor indeed. He needs to work on his enunciation if he wishes to transmit dharma more properly and respectfully.

@edthewave
Even if he was reading perfectly well, with information absolutely precise, he would still not be transmitting dharma.
