I think the united states should of Joined the war about a year before it did.
I have noticed a pattern.
we will charge into Afghanistan and Iraq ONLY after an attack like 9/11.
If you Look back we didn't Join World War 2 until Pearl Harbor.

Yet When countries in europe were being invaded in world War 2 We sat there and waited. Gave some Supplies to The British. Yet we still waited. Sometimes... Our government just PISSES ME OFF!
The government was only part responsible. The US public was isolationist when WW2 started. FDR aided UK and provoked the axis, at least. In contrast, after years of saddam in the news, there was wide popular support for his ouster. That so much of that support was lost had as much to do with skillful propaganda from islamists, leftists and others who hate the US as it did with mistakes by the administratrion. We people of free nations owe a debt of gratitude to those who sacrificed for us.

What the hell do you know about soldiers having guts? In late 44 and 45 german soldier had nothing, but kept on fighting an army so much bigger than themselfes with sometimes 50 times more tanks, artillery and fighters, but kept on fighting. Without hope for victory. Thats guts as well.
