Well, @rallasm, you almost got it correct... it's called a pip matrix, not a shapeshifter... and every card in used in that trick is called a gaff card... you force the card and do the sleights, simple as that... this trick is only possible with 4 cards (4 of hearts, cloves, spades, and diamonds)...

this trick can be done by anyone...

just buy a ghost gaff deck...

he just has a trick deck basically. what he does is he has about 4 different 4 of diamonds and forces one the "regular" one onto the spectator. he has the other 3 changed cards on the bottom of the deck in his right hand and simply places the next one on top of the old to make it look like its changing. The last trick where he changes it back to the "regular" card is a simple trick called the shapeshifter.

@bghomedawg Black diamond is because thats the style of the deck.Its called a Ghost Deck.And it's not a trick deck.It's a regular deck with a couple of gaffed cards from the Ghost Gaff deck.And getting people to choose certain cards is a sleight.You don't need a trick deck.He does have 3 mutations of that card on the bottom of the face down deck,face up.And no that's David Blaine,that's Justin Miller.The author of this video is just retarded.I know all this because I have the decks.

Does anyone think this might have something to do with the fact that the card is a BLACK 4 of diamonds? In every deck of cards I have ever seen, diamonds are red. Trick card of some kind maybe? Especially since it did have a red diamond under the 4. Perhaps the black diamonds on this card can slide around somehow?

One site I stumbled upon actually had the same type of card as what appeared in the video, except it was a 4 of spades. One spade had moved in the same way the diamonds did in this video. To do it u need 5 cards of the 4 diamonds and do a force selection then the other cards r hidden under the deck and slid off when the pack goes on top. That's one way of doing it.

notice how only when the last card is produced (4rth made one) it's taken off the deck for examination because if the previous three cards were taken off the deck we would all see the made cards..then putting the 4rth made card on top (on top of the duplicate 4 of diamonds ) the only thing he has to do is perform a double lift showing that all the diamonds have gone where they should be...

+he may have the cards made from a factory so he can give the last one for examination i am sure you

THIS IS A PLUS...because the spectator thinks he didn't know it beforehand he thinks the magician NOW knows the card he has chosen...

then the magician puts the chosen 4 of diamonds upside down (forgot to tell you that the four made cards are also put upside down) under (probably under another few cards too) the four made cards. leaving the other four cards on top of the 4 of diam. and producing the four made cards one at a time as if the diam. on the 4 of diam. are one by one changing place.

he forces his pre-chosen card (4 of diamonds) the spectator takes it.. AND THE MAGICIAN SEES IT SAYING IT'S OK
