I used to have the entire CD, and this is the title song... Somewhere in several moves I lost it, but this particular piece has haunted me for more than ten years now. Huh.... Never thought of looking on YouTube!!! Something else brought me to a page where this was listed... I love synchronicity -

@suediederich :) Exactly1 a friend sent me something similar and I realized I could look here...just thinking about the tapes One and Two I loaned to another friend and somehow they're still there...my boys used to love these anytime but particularly bedtime of course. Tears are huge right now, my youngest died a while ago and now he's only 8 as I listen, not the 25 year old man, on another mission....

I remember this song! My mom gave me this tape when I was a little girl to put me to sleep. I couldn't sleep without it for the longest time. How fitting that I find it again in November. November is the anniversary of my mom's death and her birthday was in November, so that's incredibly ironic that I find this now on that anniversary 14 years later.

This musical piece, The Fairy Ring, by Mike Rowland, like no other music I've ever heard seems to pierce the veil between life and death... between earth and heaven... between here and there... This music takes me to that place of pure spiritual being... Were I to die in this moment, I would want to be remembered not only for my laughter and passion in life but for my sentiment and spiritual love. This would be the song for my spirit.

You sound - in many respects - like me. My mantra is: 'Laughter is my be all and end all'. Out of interest, I played part of this music at my Father's funeral...It is however, what I call 'magic music', for if you are happy 'it' is happy, if however, you are sad, 'it' appears sad . It truly is mood music of the most finest creation. I had necessity to speak to Mike about a tape I had bought many years ago, he was a lovely man - exactly as his music would lead you to believe xx
