I should be honest...that scene is from one his later sound films. Turns out...that wasn't an actual horse whinny. Leo McCarey...the film's director....made that whinny during rehearsal...and they liked it so much...they left it in the movie.
No editing on my part. But I hope that doesn't my little fanvid any less enjoyable for you.
@MadLizzy1 True enough. I love this video. The music is PERFECTLY synched with everything. What a wonderful video. I love this man. How can I love a man who was born in 1893? Because he makes me laugh, that's why. Wonderful video. Wonderful post. Thank you!!!!!!
It's obvious what a bou bou is. When a woman is head over heels over harold lloyd and she says 'bou bou' or whatever its obvious to anyone. if I need to explain it to you then probably ...I mean do you really need an explanation?
I want to be on that rollercoaster with him (permanently). Also LOVE the 3 min. mark, the look of bliss - he really was dishy. Lloyd has been called "the first man in space" (love the hair standing on end, like a cat!)
This reminds me of my childhood when they used to play Harold on tv in shows of about 30 minutes long. It was great. Harold will always have a special place in my heart.
This is amazing! I finally saw something different on Harold Lloyd! I was getting tired of looking at the same material from other you tube users, but this is awesome!
love Harold! Harold now that you're in heaven, you're number one!!!
Honestly, this is the first time I've watched this much Lloyd. Buster is still my favorite, but it's fun to watch Lloyd, especially with your music added. You really do a great job.
Glad you liked it. I had not seen any of Harold Lloyd's films until I watched the BBC's "The Third Clown" about him on YouTube last month. It was great.
He and his gag-men (like Jean Havez and Clyde Bruckman who also worked for Buster) came up with some truly innovative gags.
I loved this - Harold is my man!!!

Nice! Harold Lloyd was one of the best and most dare deviling comedians ever! No one will ever replace him :D

Excellent editing! Normally I don't like modern music over random silent film clips but in this case it really worked out great.

Brilliant! Great job of editing and matching the music and sound of the horse's whinny to Lloyd's antics.

Love all the clips thanks for posting. One question though referring to another comment : What on Earth is a bou bou?
This is the second time I've seen this and it makes no sense to me...

Awesome video! Great choice of clips.
What movie features the scene at about 1:30, with the horse in the car? I laughed so hard at Lloyd's expressions.

That's from "The Milky Way."
One of his later films - made in 1936.
