Yeah mate they are not bad for a v6, though if you want grunt just get the V8. 13k for an SV6?? sounds a bit cheap, i got mine for 18k but it only had 80k on it.
@sneakyprick I wish i could get a v8 but the stupid laws restrict us now hahah. Yeah look it up on carsales theres around 50 sv6s under 15grand, because dont forget they're now a 6 year old car, theres even some 07 omegas under 15 grand but they have heaps of k's, like 150+ so some heavy freeway stuff.
@smithiy69 go for a jap 6 cylinder get a 1998 soarer itll have less Ks, just as powerful, heaps of standard features and more street cred... at a lower price! mine turns heads everywhere i go trust me.
@cradlenazi no offence bro, but not into the soarers that much, i like the SV6 has 4 doors, massive amounts of power( beat 2 soarers in this SV6 in the past) but if mine was stock id say they are close power wise, but like any car ....you work it into what you want........more powerful, better looks,better handling ect ect.
for me i like the standed family commodore look, its more inconspicuous than a 2door by far. and for me it is more practical , rather a sleeper than street cred any day =)
@pootang47 powers basically identical sv6 20kw over the soarer but the soarer weights 150kgs less. you beat em..more down to driving skills in my opinion than just power no doubt u probably can shift or take off better.
Sv6 is practical im looking at buying a new one right now, but I never regreted the soarer when I was younger great bang for buck on heaps of standard features that werent even being offered as options the holdens of the same era.

@14nedloh hey mate, look i bought the car with it fitted already so cant say so much about b4 and after, but i will say it makes the engine sound alot deeper than other stock VE/VZ/VY's ive raced, and if you have manual or semi auto when you gear down it rumbles and spits like a baby brother of the SS's with a fat exhaust, i would recomend it, but i would also recommend you go get an exhaust after this to prevent restriction from stock exhaust. =)) you go to meets?

I own a o5 Sv6 Commodore Silver in colour with 18 inch low profile tyres on it. :Less then 100000kms on it. I work it hard. Need an exhaust system though it sounds awful standard

@gavman1991 thats sweet dude, yeah i saw some floating around the 15k mark when i was looking, but with all the extras i got it added up , plus most of the 15k cars had 80,000+ks, so i went for this, i wanna put the springs in that came with the car so its on its ass again, had to put stock springs on to pass roadworthy when i bought it( at ex owners expense) so i just have these springs sitting at home ........ waiting............ so sad, wish i knew how to do that shit myself =(

@wreckage06 Well at least its a Holden, i got SS Growler induction, twin 2.5 full redback exhaust, Pacemakers (hi temp), had a tune ( needs another one lol) and then just pissy shit, like i got the springs to dump it, i removed rear spoiler and bogged holes, gunna get vz ss front quater pannels as they have the mad flute thing ( look up vz ss and look at front side blinkers) easier and cheaper to just buy the quater than cut the holes! lol and then just work with the diff and tranny =)
@wreckage06 yeh its good , BUT it has a shit body ( in my opinion VE) and yeah its 210kw but i kick there ass and im in a VZ , it just feels better beating a VE with a VZ and like u said they look better (the VZ's) =)

@wreckage06 yeah but not much , and i agree, VE looks too rounded and they are massive compired to the VZ, Plus the flares in te bodywork over ll wheels looks gay i recon, and the bubble mirror isnt stock lol so dont worry previous owner put it on (dont no why, they mainly used when towing so you got better view) , but if ur not leglly allowed to own a VZ SV6 on your p's , look at the VY S pac's they go alright(just alright lol)
@wreckage06 nice , nah i will do one soon , but i drive nearly all day , they go hard the ve's, its 120-130 rwkw+ were stock vz 110-120rwkw+ , and VE 340Nm as VZ 335Nm both stock, i personaly havent had my motor dyno'd but it b round 240-250kw easy, i do no my VZ is 162rwkw as previous owner did a dyno. i munch both ve sv6 and i raped a lpg 3.0l the other day lol they not bad tho! more vids to come
@wreckage06 yeah im on my green p's, i told vic roads and insurance about mods and no probs for me, if you just got your l's recently then i think there are new laws appling to you which sucks, you could get away with a few little things mate trust me, just try not to make it loud a fuk or low as fuck cause then its a cop magnet :) im uploading a burnout i did on my mates property soon so check it out ? :)
@wreckage06 i oblitorate stock vn 6's all the way upto vz 6s, ( have beatn a VE SV6 once by abit) vn ss is easy , any stock 5.0l or mildly moded 5.0l i have no probs beating from 0-180, and from 100- 180 .. so just go do an advanced driving course tho, car is powerfull mate :)

makes me wanna get a exhaust for mine i can see your still running the stock gears 1 st gear is tall but taller for the ve even if you went 3.27 you would notice it and still keep some highway manners

@Crownleyian: I looked at getting an XR5 Turbo- you're right, it's quicker 0-100, though it's top speed is no better, and the cost was about the same- but buying Australian was important to me, as was rear wheel drive. My SV6 has been reliable as hell, is comfy enough to sleep in overnight on road trips, and to answer your question, pootang, I have not regretted the choice!
Seems slow in first then it powers on hard. They tell me the VE II SV6 sidi v6 can clock 14.5 1/4 times and it has been proven. Not bad.

@wreckage06 well i got these little rubber caps that make it flush but in the end u could still c it , then not long ago a dickhead was playing games on the road , and he ended up ramming into my ass end , therefor i got a new boot;) i was kinda happy cause she looks much cleaner now =), but u just bog them up sand it back and paint it urself , costs less when u do all the work urself bro

@wreckage06 Well at least its a Holden, i got SS Growler induction, twin 2.5 full redback exhaust, Pacemakers (hi temp), had a tune ( needs another one lol) and then just pissy shit, like i got the springs to dump it, i removed rear spoiler and bogged holes, gunna get vz ss front quater pannels as they have the mad flute thing ( look up vz ss and look at front side blinkers) easier and cheaper to just buy the quater than cut the holes! lol and then just work with the diff and tranny =)

@wreckage06 yeh its good , BUT it has a shit body ( in my opinion VE) and yeah its 210kw but i kick there ass and im in a VZ , it just feels better beating a VE with a VZ and like u said they look better (the VZ's) =)

@wreckage06 yeah but not much , and i agree, VE looks too rounded and they are massive compired to the VZ, Plus the flares in te bodywork over ll wheels looks gay i recon, and the bubble mirror isnt stock lol so dont worry previous owner put it on (dont no why, they mainly used when towing so you got better view) , but if ur not leglly allowed to own a VZ SV6 on your p's , look at the VY S pac's they go alright(just alright lol)

@wreckage06 nice , nah i will do one soon , but i drive nearly all day , they go hard the ve's, its 120-130 rwkw+ were stock vz 110-120rwkw+ , and VE 340Nm as VZ 335Nm both stock, i personaly havent had my motor dyno'd but it b round 240-250kw easy, i do no my VZ is 162rwkw as previous owner did a dyno. i munch both ve sv6 and i raped a lpg 3.0l the other day lol they not bad tho! more vids to come

@wreckage06 yeah im on my green p's, i told vic roads and insurance about mods and no probs for me, if you just got your l's recently then i think there are new laws appling to you which sucks, you could get away with a few little things mate trust me, just try not to make it loud a fuk or low as fuck cause then its a cop magnet :) im uploading a burnout i did on my mates property soon so check it out ? :)

@wreckage06 i oblitorate stock vn 6's all the way upto vz 6s, ( have beatn a VE SV6 once by abit) vn ss is easy , any stock 5.0l or mildly moded 5.0l i have no probs beating from 0-180, and from 100- 180 .. so just go do an advanced driving course tho, car is powerfull mate :)

@wreckage06 hey dude, yeah they go alot harder in real life bro lol, mine is in the shop getting fixed cause a fucktard tryed to play braking wars in front of me and i got new crossed drilled and slotted disks day befor , long story short , his 50g car ...... dead... mine 3k damage and nearly fixed (for free ,insurrance) i strongly recomend you do the exhaust and extractors , ss induction , makes a huge diff,

makes me wanna get a exhaust for mine i can see your still running the stock gears 1 st gear is tall but taller for the ve even if you went 3.27 you would notice it and still keep some highway manners

@Crownleyian: I looked at getting an XR5 Turbo- you're right, it's quicker 0-100, though it's top speed is no better, and the cost was about the same- but buying Australian was important to me, as was rear wheel drive. My SV6 has been reliable as hell, is comfy enough to sleep in overnight on road trips, and to answer your question, pootang, I have not regretted the choice!
