Have got a SY-35 which (i think) is identical but with expanded memory capacity. It sounds fantastic! Only problem is that its a nightmare to program. You have to do everything with the two rubber + and - keys and it has a tiny LCD screen. Other than that though, its great!
Hi FOnkyNinja. You assign up to four presets (A,B,C and D) to the joystick and then mix between the sounds, Damn good fun! You can also find this on the Yamaha PSS790 although quite limited compared to this range of keyboards. Hope this helps!
it is for morphing the sound by changing the vector. There are 4 vectors (left, right, up and down) and by moving the stick you can adjust the mix of that sounds. You can also record stick movings so that everytime you hit a key, the soundmodulation will be played again, the way you moved the stick.

Ahhh the first new synth I ever bought back in the day. I miss it sometimes... It sounds GREAT in this demo! Nice job!
And it does have Midi out, and aftertouch.
Sadly, no filter...

I'd have to say the SY22 is my favorite synth, and I have many good ones but I play my best with it and also use it as my main controller.
