I can't wait to see when the Russian exported the Sukhoi PAK FA T-50 to Vietnam People's air force. Vietnam need 5th Gen. Stealth Fighter aircraft to give them advantage over PLAAF. China and Vietnam are enemy over paracel Island and especially spratly island which have oil there. Vietnam have military base at spratly island to keep those chinks out. In August 10, 2010 US and Vietnam hold naval exercise to country PLAAF navy growth power. Vietnam need US help to counter PLA Navy power in region.

Dude Vietnam People's Air Force doesn't have Su-35 Super Flanker. In Future Vietnam People's Air Force going buy Sukhoi PAK FA T-50 one of the country can afford to buy export Sukhoi PAK FA T-50.

@XXM1T90XX ........Vietnam has no plans to buy a PAK FA T-50.
1. Its still in development in Russia.
2.Russia does not export its new military technology till after a 20 year period.
3.Russia has said it will only export to India who is co-developing the aircraft.
4.Vietnam has already said its ordering Su-30MK2V in the future, and had made plans for it in 2013. If Vietnam is going to order the T-50, its in the distance and no time soon.

@GuardianDemonX Tanks and battle vehicles? why? Didn't you hear Tanks are being fazed out in modern western nations, its non-effective in todays modern warfare, there easy to hit and slow. Look what happen to Iraq's 10,000 strong tank unit, got blown off the face of earth by laser guided munitions...Vietnam doesnt need to waste time with these outdated weapons.
The USA and Russia say its no longer going to develope or upgrade her tanks, as tank warfare is out dated. get with the times bro.

@anhkhoinguyen the iraqi doesnt have any tanks they fight with uneuipment, jet are easily to be shot down, and most of the war they all use land force the most

Aircraft carrier up keeps are too expensive... I think VN should design it's own frigates, corvettes and destroyers. That is the only way we will be stronger..

Look at Thailand, they have a aircraft carrier, yet they can barely keep it functioning

lol if vietnam going to war.. the poor contry like that who can say whey'll win in war in 2010, all that pics they talking from other country, I don't think they have that money to buying, your guy just looking at they army in year 2007 - 2010 you'll uderstand, All I can saying Vietnam is VietCong country, china now is stronger, all VietCong will be opposite china..

China has never won a major war since 1644 when she was conquered by manchus and lost every war to westeners since.
Vietnam on the other hand has defeated superpowers with technology 50 years ahead of her, and hasnt lost a war since the 1800s.
Nonone could beat us then, and now with modern weapons I highly doubt anyone specially China can defeats now.

Vietnam should buy more Su 27, 30 and some some F-16, F15 from the USA also. I hope the US lift the restriction for selling weapon to VN.

And the f-16 and f-15 are outdated, and they only export to allied NATO countries. I say we take these plains apart,more research and develope our own in the future.
