Trebor530, thank you for this wonderful video. My son is a firefighter in Tuscaloosa, AL and has been for 5 years now. He started as a volunteer fireman in 1997. He doesn't talk much about his work; every once in awhile he'll mention something and gauge my reaction as to whether he should tell me more. I am so proud of him. I don't worry, though. I pray every day. Thank you for your work and thanks to every firefighter out there. Bless each and every one of you.
Really good vid, I was a vol in Australia for 13 years and can absolutely relate to the second family bit. Ppl who haven't been there will never really understand.
I respect these men and the job they do BUT, their UNIONS are crooked and they are STEALING from everyone else. These men have NO HONOR or they would not be a part of it. For example, in BOSTON the AVERAGE compensation is over $100k, not including pensions over $60k/year. Plus their pensions are not fully funded so they will take whatever additional they need from those making minimum wage. This is why the country is going BROKE and there are almost NO JOBS. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!

I was watching this and when the pager went off in the beginning, I though that it was mine. I was half way out the door when I realized it was on the video, not my pager :D
I just came across this when I was looking for my son some videos since he LOVES Fire trucks and Firemen. This is a GREAT tribute for Firemen that risk their lives every day for people they don't even know! THANK YOU 2 you firemen out there risking your lives!
