these two clowns, olbermann and mathews dont know a thing about good journalism.TIM RUSSERT was not only a great journalist, but a great man and a great father.we cant even call these two clowns men, having these clowns do a piece on RUSSERT really takes away from the man he was.
This is where we can agree to disagree I'm sure. Organizations like FOX News and CNN have come to to appeal to the base of people's emotions, whereas Matthews and especially Olbermann brought a different perspective. These are arguable some of the best words I have heard about Tim Russert, seeing as how these are the people who worked with him day in and day out and presumably knew him best.

I knew Tim Russert, and I know what you are saying is true, but I hate to admit, his journalism declined in 2008. For example, wasting debate time asking Dennis Kucinch about the UFO
Alright you can name one screw up, really fantastic... I mean come on! The man is dead, and once in his life (at least) he was a very good journalist/person. So what I am saying is: Let us give him that; let us remember him for that; let us praise him for that.
What an asshole Chris Matthews is. At a time of honoring somebody he takes advantage of it to talk about the Iraq War and how much of a mistake it was. Jesus Christ, leave your politics to yourself for 10 fucking minutes.
Who the hell gives 3 shits about Tim Russert? he was just another over paid talking head hack. Journalist my balls, the news has been canceled for at least 20 years.I hope he rots in hell for what he did to Hillary Clinton with that stupid immigration question. A outsourced dot head from India could do a better job of the so called journalism that Russert did and for a hell of alot less money. The circle jerk going on over this over paid hack is truly disgusting.

Keith, I just watched the end of your show and you mentioned a rainbow and Tim Russert. Did I miss a breaking story? Are you saying Russert was gay? I couldn`t help but notice so many mentioned how he asked about their kids.
Please respond, or I`ll have to catch a rebroadcast later tonight.
No Brain, I'm not sure that is a good name for you. The song somewhere over the rainbow was playing while people were leaving the funeral and when they exited the church there was a rainbow outside.

...U CAN FUCKING WELL BET Matthews & the fucking lib media woulda crucified Bush 4 not acting n time. Hell, ther've been accusations that he did not act quickly enough 2 prevent 911!! Which is political hogwash, b/c u see, the point is NOT 2 see the US succeed, it's 2 gain power 4 the liberal party AT ALL COST 2 facilitate their agenda. They don't care about the average American. They want power & control, the very thing they acuse Bush of! God help us if Obama wins... I MEAN THAT LITEARLLY!!!
Your an IDIOT Augustus. Bush was accused of not acting when he was told the country was under attack. He sat there for 7 minutes looking confused. We are now used to seeing him looking confused. Bush is a moron.
Big media is owned by big corporations who conrol what news is reported and they favor the Republicans. The Democrats are the party for the working/middle class people. The Rupbulicans just care about getting the rich richer by taking what they can from the working/middle class
Bush & the Super Powers (almost all of them that weren't 2 fucking chicken or stood 2 loose ECCONOMICALLY from an invasion, namely, RUSSIA & FRANCE) decided 2 call his bluff, just as he was posturing himself...the CIA can only do so much to "proove" that he had WMDs. He was warned & several attempts were made by the UN 2 inspect the country & he refused, which caused an even wider spread belief he had something 2 hide. It's easy 2 sit back & armchair Qback in hindsight, BUT IF HE HAD WMDS...
What SCUM Chris Matthews is! He talks politics even at a time like this. He or no one has proof The Bush Admistration lied about the invasion of Iraq. I saw an interview on 60 MINUTES where a guy that followed Saddam Huesein n the last months of his life, stated infactically Saddam WANTED the US & the world 2 believe he had WMDs & was capable of using them. He liked the idea of the fear it instilled & thought it garnered him respect... and he enjoyed the terrorist aspect of his own people...
Mathews and ko stoop pretty low on a regular basis but even for them what mathews said was amazingly low class. It clearly shows the difference between them and an honorable journalist like Tim Russert.
last week olbydrama queen was USING dead solders and today he was USING his dead friend russert to prop up his liberal propaganda...russert was one of the only sane reporters at the obama network.....
KO and Matthews are both full of it. David Gregory as well, but as far out as these two.
KO couldn't wait to run to blog on KOS re: Tim's love and support for his work, lies.
Some grieving.
Gregory couldn't let anyone tell a memory, he was cutting them off and it seemed he was on 30 channels at the same time (the way he worked it). BTW, let's not forget he just had a fall out with KO as well. Matthews did too. Go to TV Newser, Jossip or the MSNBC archives. They're whores and jealous.
What crap, if there were nukes do you think Bush would have a 30 % approval rating? He would have been a hero. Because Bush lied, We are the fools, not Russert!
Chris Matthews is shameful! His comments were both disgusting and disrespectful. He should be censured at the least. NBC MSNBC should be ashamed of themselves - but hey they keep these two clowns on the air so it's very apparent they have no shame.
Why? Russert isn't dead for five minutes and Matthews is using his death to makes a redundant, and quite partisan, political point? How cheap and disrespectful. Its exactly something russert wouldn't do; he had class. Its stomach turning. What a hack.
Matthews is quite clearly a sociopath, void of all natural human emotions.
His case "Bush Derangement Syndrome" one of worst I've seen among the so-called journalists on television. Second only to the moonbat he's talking to, I think.

That is 100% true. Pretty much the only Dem who was staunch anti-Iraq-invasion, and said so loudly, was Howard Dean. He said it often and it was part of what drew people to him. He didn't mince words. Eventually he got taken out in 04 by a number of forces antithetical to the progressive movement in America. Buyt I actually don't find your comment compelling. The Dems you speak of ALL FAILED US MISERABLY. Which is why things were better when we had a *real* 4th Estate, who took them ALL to task.
I have to say: I;m not disputing Chris Matthews because I have no experience with Tim Russert, the man, nor as The Professional. But if, to CHris, Tim had the uncanny ability to represent "everyman USA", and express the concerns of "every man", and get to the heart of the "why it's important", then I have to say, man-to-man, on the Iraq war Tim Russert failed to meet even the baseline standards of scrutiny before committing men & women to war.
(contd) the Conglomerate Media, and the people like Russert -- who are supposedly the 4th Estate, holding politicians' feet to the fire as a means of American checks and balances -- refused to tell the truth about what was known in real time. If he said to Chris Matthews "It's the nukes I worry about" -- and this is applauded as the "everyman" bottom line concern, then he had a duty as a journalist to follow the evidence. .. cutesy sports analogies they turned to in this interview, why was simply a CONCERN FOR NUKES (the everyman concern) GOOD ENOUGH to be the SLAM-DUNK that accepted, without srutiny for manipulation, the doped-up factoids coming out of Ari Fleisher's mouth, or Cheney's or Bush's or COndi's or Rumsfeld's or Powell's or Tenet's? I don't give a damn about what you think of NBC, the press or Tim Russert's profession ...or even your opinion of his role in the deception of the American people regarding the war in Iraq. (Who crafted those lies? Not Russert, by the way)
Go rant about that in private. If you are going to disparage the dead in public, expect to be confronted and denounced.
Profile image intentionally maligns the late NBC Meet The Press host Tim Russert in death using language that a reasonable person would find offensive.
If you read the YouTube guidelines, this service is set up to be self-policing (and yes, that's with a small 'p')
Users are encouraged to report violations, since YouTube cannot reasonably be expected to employ a staff large enough to review the millions of submissions they take each day.
And no, I'm not your nanny either. But, IMHO, HG deserves to be taught a lesson in 'community standards'.
