Have the standards been lowered for education? As a matter of fact, yes. I have encountered several people who think otherwise. I consider this academic dishonesty; if you look at the current trends you will notice a downward spiral for education. A biased education and revisionist history (this has occured in the past, you may argue, but in this era it is more extreme), as well as "feelings come first" style type thinking, it is the proof of a declining education system.
It's the celebrity age- everyone wants to be in the spotlight to be famous and the internet allows that suddenly you're no longer invisible -YOU MATTER!
The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice; it's conformity." ~Rollo May. I know a girl who has lots of friends on myspace, but in real life she is a different person

Yes. For example, some people live their lives on the computer They date, make friends, buy things and talk on the computer.People don't really talk to their neighbors anymore either. People have become very distant from one another. It's knd of sad when you think about it
TURN: You are absolutely right, and it's sad because, people are now living in a fishbowl society, whereby interpersonal communication, face to face /physical interaction has now become so chequered that people no longer give eye contact, are not easily recognizing body language, and some just feel incompetent to hold a two way conversation, in the real sense of the word!
Our young people can no longer spell efficiently because it's all about 'text-talk'!
i iam gona have some videos 2make by 2nite or 2morrow as a response 2 ur page trust me because i am younger i may have some interesting input 2 put into this
I'm not sure what my feelings are on this topic Barbarossssa because I think the internet as medium for communication will play a decisive role in the liberation of men from their servile condition. We can organise internationally and instaneously over the Net, something that would have presented a much bigger challenge pre-internet. On the otherhand I take the point that we seem to be becoming more remote from e/o due to technological contact replacing face 2 face contact.
I actually think people are talking more although the down side is that since contact is remote and anonymous people feel less inhibited about the things they say than they would be in face to face contact. So on that score I'm not sure if the internet is a good socializing instrument. Have to think more about this
I totally agree... I've been thinking about this for a while now. People don't even talk anymore, they text! Not to mention how technology has taken jobs, which is very important during a recesion. Nothing is real anymore... TV... I also blame multi- media for a lot of the brainwashing that has taken place in todays society. Good video, I just wish some of these videos could lead to change...
