i am wondering why your mac 13 makes that disk sounding noise when you rebooted it. I just got my MAC and it does that know... after i uploaded the software it told me to restart and it did this BeeeeeeeP! then that sound then it turned on and off 3-5 times... now it just makes that sound you have... what happened?
I have tried YAHOO! Answers Bing and I even went back to google, NOTHING!!! Maybe DetroitBORG or somebody can help, can I get a plug in for my USB to make it have more USB ports? Kinda like on the PS2 where you pluged in this little thing where the remotes go and you can have more than 2 people playing split-screen.
also by reading the description you said that the macbook air had half the ram which if it tryes more processes it will obviously low down more than the macbookpro soo that makes your conclusions about loading invalid
@sjiyuey sorry to say but the lowest for a Mac is $600 and that's is a Mac mini. If you want a laptop like the ones in the video they range from $1000-$1500.

A MBP 13 inch with 256 GB SSD Custom build to order. 13 inch for portability, plus the pro has more ports than the air(more complete), and more future proofed.
I was planning on getting the macbook pro this sunday but people are saying to wait until 2012? should I? Do you think if its gunna be a big upgrade? please reply!!!!!!!!!!
@kiimyxo yup, don't get it now, personally i don't suggest you macbook air coz it has weak cpu and gnu compared with same year's macbook pro, and if you want to get a macbook pro don't buy it now, the current product line has releases almost one year. wait until 2012 some says the new macbook pro will get huge differences (no optical driver, standard ssd, ivy bridge cpu, thinner unibody etc) all in all, just wait if you don't need it very deadly.
The Air and Pro have the same Intel HD 3000 GPU. Both the air and pro have similar performance, which is due to the upgrade to sandy bridge processors from core 2 duos in the Macbook air and the SSD present in the air and not in the pro, which makes the air faster in loading and opening applications and documents as compared to the pro.
@mrshauntham yup but pro has discrete gpus (ATI 6770M, 6750M) which air don't have, this makes huge difference, and 15 and 17 inch pro has true 4 core cpu, air only has 2 core i series with 4 threads.
The MacBook Air's SSD is faster than the MacBook Pro.. The MacBook Pro's processing speed was just much greater. That's why the Air won in the start up, but lost at loading all of the apps.
People watchingnthis recently to helpnthem decide let me tell you some things, the macbook air in this video is last years whereas now it has an i5 processor and as always an SSD, without making upgrades, this macbook pro has been upgraded with an SSD and off the shelf does not have one, this will effect boot up times, opening apps etc... To install an SSD to a pro costs an additional few hundred £/$s... Without the air may be faster on some of these steps
The point is a difference of couple of hundred bucks between the Air and Pro, why would anyone sacrifice the performance level that pro offers in exchange of the thin design of the Air, the Air is netbook version of Mac. . . plus an additional optical drive you get from pro. duhhh macbook pro no doubt is a better choice.
Hi, great video again, just wondering since you ran COD 4, how does the 13" MBP perform whilst playing COD 4 online using the highest graphics settings?
hey, just wondering if you could do the same vid with the new macbook air. think this will be a lot faster, as it has the i7dualcore, rather than the C2D :)
Seriously, what a bullshit test. The SSD in the MacBook Air is just as good as the one in the Pro, if not better (it boots faster). "They are equally configured" WTF??? How the fuck can u compare a 1,4 GHz C2D with a 2,3 GHz i5 Sandybridge. Oh right u cant. Wow amazing u found out that with the i5 programs launch faster! Ur a genius -.-
Umm im trying to decide between a Macbook Pro and a Macbook Air, i am a musician and will use Logic Pro and Pro tools alot i know that getting the macbook pro would allow me to mix, edit etc. my music faste but i would like tohave the macbook air because i am still a student and would need to take it to school alot. Can you please give me your opinion?
@soniccinos yeah and MBP is sandy bridge CPU and air is core 2 duo, not even close. compare it with new mac book airs with 1.8 Ghz core i5 and see witch one is faster.

I have been searching for hours to compare the base MacBook air to my old MacBook Pro (October 2006)
CPU: 2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
RAM: 2GB
Here are the results I got using XBench:
Overall Score: 97.99

My MacBook Pro is still going strong and only needed a new battery and Apple replaced my graphic card after they were having problems a few years back.

@Th3L0st0ne normally mac book pro's cool down quick. I don't own one but from personal use Mac's would usually cool down really quickly. Hope my advice helped. ;)
@Th3L0st0ne All of the Apple laptops tend to overheat. (They have terrible ventilation.) But the are still great machines. If you do decide to get a MBP, download smc.fancontrol for it. It lets you adjust the speed of your fan to help cool off your processor.
Wow great video review. I was totally blown away when you launched call of duty. I have the 27" imac but was thinking about geting the new macbook pro or macbook air. Thanks very much for the insight.
It is a good thing that Apple dumbs old processors to macbook air and sell it high price. Otherwise old processors that left over just would end up in landfill...

@akashstephen99 Hard to say, I honestly prefer my MBA, but that's because my iMac is my workhorse. If this is your primary computer, i'd get the MBP.

It is a good thing that Apple dumbs old processors to macbook air and sell it high price. Otherwise old processors that left over just would end up in landfill...
