  • Reminds me of back when I was still enthusiastic about Obama...

  • wat rubbish..where hillary? she is the main reason why obama could claim party unity even after a poor economic record..

  • Okay I know why you didn't include Hillary Clinton or other cabinet members, but I was puzzled that you included Joe Biden, when neither vice-president was a regular character on the West Wing (unless you count Leo, who was only elected posthumously).

  • well done

  • AW-SOME!!

  • This is a really awesome video!!! @grapesofwraith1066, you should make one for the Kennedy administration!!

  • Nicely done :)

  • Great stuff! Well done, as youtube stuff goes...

  • @Zackattack52287 Just kike you cue "Dueling Banjoes" when showing old home movies?

  • On topic: it seems the credits go by too quickly. I mean, the space of time between each transition is quick and made my eyes hurt a bit.

I guess there are too many people to cram into that 44 second theme.

  • Crap, you gotta change up the credits for the new season when they got rid of Rahm at the end of the last one. :(

  • @miamad Fuck you.

  • I'm no Obama fan, but I have to say this video is well put together. Good Job.

  • well put together piece.

  • 30 people are pissed they won't be seeing Sarah Palin in this montage.

  • @TheZodiacPrincess THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!

  • These people aren't nearly as attractive as the actors.... damn reality...

  • Very well done!

  • Trouble is, one season of Obama and everyone is wanting to turn him and his lying ass OFF.

    God I miss Pres. Bush.

  • Hilarious.

  • still needs Sam Seaborn

  • why is the vice president in the credits??

  • What a splendid job. "Whether one agrees or disagrees with the politics," as Martin Sheen said in his role as Jed Bartlett, "it is the office that one must show respect to." You've done that well here.

    Congratulations.

  • That was truly a job well done. You should be a movie director or producer!

  • haha, brilliant. Great work!

  • if you watch season 6 and 7, they pretty much dictate the 2008 Presidential campaign and debate...

Except Arnold Vinnick was a lot more likeable than John McCain.... (no offense)

  • Really great!!

  • wow, that was really great!

  • That works way too well, lmao.

  • Haha! That wuz pretty funny! Good job! It looks great!! :D

  • LOL i love it

  • wow hearing this theme song I swear it makes me to be more motivated and work hard and harder to achieve my goals. GOD bless America and BARACK Obama

  • I'd watch that show.

  • I like this

  • i dont see Jon Favreau? isnt he the driector of speechwriting?

  • Wow really nice spin montage of the show opening..good job

  • Wow... really cool!

  • class mate

  • Wow, great job!

  • awsome!

  • Great job.

  • Great stuff!

If you happen to redo it, you may want to decrease the size of the word "THE" in the title. But hey , great stuff!

  • Thanks for this. Cheers to you.

  • Well done! This must've been a lot of work! I think that once you crop the pictures to maintain a consistent aspect ratio, this video will be close to perfect. :)

  • good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WOW! This is an amazing video

  • This just made my day

  • Wasn't the 'Matthew Santos' character inspired by Obama? They have quite a few things in common...

But I dare not dream that the real administration is anywhere near as good as the fictional one! You just can't beat Jed, Leo, Toby, Sam, Josh, Donna, CJ., etc...

  • i like this lol somebody sent it to the president. I think the west wing was one of obama's favorite shows.

  • LOL by all means you can call me a 'hater' too. Good homage, no doubt. But if anyone wants to argue that Robert Gibbs has the standing to battle Toby Ziegler, they have the mental capacity of shark. Proudly Republican but pro-Bartlet minus the lefty bullshit from his staff . nObama has a long way to go before he can even hold the match that lights the candle to Josiah Bartlet's character.

  • indeed...gibbs is on his way to becoming one of the worst press secretaries in our history

  • I have nothing against Republican fans of the show, but you do realize that Jed Bartlet was full of "lefty bullshit" too.

  • @democrat10 meh .. let Bartlet be Bartlet ;-o)

  • Very well done on the video. I love The West Wing and just bot the whole 7 seasons - just awaiting delivery, woo hoo!

  • Wonder if someone will do an Obama series someday

  • I LIKED IT!!!! VERY CREATIVE!!!!

  • Ignore these idiots. They don't get it. Its wonderful! Prez. Obama is the spirit of Jed Bartlett and you've done a wonderful job! I'm eager to see more. I've enjoyed your work in the past.

  • Obama is great, and I love him, but sorry, he couldn't hold a candle to Bartlet. It's not an insult -- it's just like telling a composer they're not as good as Mozart. But I still really like this theme, it actually feels appropriate.

  • I honestly don't know whether to smack myself in the forehead or crack out laughing after watching this. Really, I don't.

Too bad so many people don't realize what kind of crooks at least half of these people are. They are POLITICIANS after all. =P

  • @YouArePoland - Well actually a lot of them are not - a great deal of them are professional political operatives - which is a totally different field of work altogether.

  • are you kidding me? i guess it's just too bad that real world problems can't be worked out like they are on tv dramas.

  • Ignore the haters. I loved this. It actually brought a tear to my eye, no joke. I even got goosebumps (I've loved the theme music from the very beginning). Well done!

  • Cool video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I like this!!!!

  • the most ridiculous thing i have seen in years.

  • checking out your youtube page, I've determined that YOU'RE NUTS!

  • Checking out your comment, I've determined that YOU'RE IGNORANT!

  • Hey, Darwin Dennett, I don't really understand your intention of attaching ADD to this other man. Could you please explain? Was it an insult? What? Thanks!

  • LOL.

  • Wow, this is actually very well done. Not gonna lie, when i clicked the thumbnail I thought it would suck. I was wrong. Great job.

  • YEA THATS TRUE BUT IT WAS SO AWESOME

  • You totally forgot Reggie Love!

  • @jrs89 As in Reggie Love from The Client, aka the coolest lawyer ever?

  • @TimeOfYourLife4Ever As in the presidents body man (aka Charlie)

  • Hahaha.. this is cool!

Using the west wing introduction with the Obama administration... nice!

  • Personaly, I Think President Obama could learn something from the West Wing

  • Agreed. If this was a real TV series Hillary Clinton would be the character people either loved or loved to hate. Either way it would make for great TV.

  • This is pretty awesome. And on a side note, BRING WEST WING BACK!

  • AWESOME WORK!!!!!!!!!!!

i LOVE west wing, it was reallt fun watching this. great job.

    although who is Ellen Morgan??

  • Ellen Moran...She is the Communications Director.

  • classic !!

  • This was put together VERY well! I LOVE it!

The West wing was one of the best shows that came to television! It's so sad that it got cancelled!

  • i still can't believe the stark similarities to Obama/McCain race and the West Wing b/w Santos and Vinick. We got career guys (McCain and Vinick) vs. new school guys (Obama and Santos). Not to mention how Leo McGarry (RIP) and Joe Bidden as VP's are similar. They have/had lots of government experience. Its sad that West Wing got canceled. Bring back the West Wing and Sorkin!!

  • right i so agree

  • and who did obama make s o state... just likein the west wing... it was the person who he ran against

  • Secretary of State = Hillary Clinton *cough*pantssuit*cough*

  • This is brilliant! You should send the link to the White House.

  • LOL ... I am an Aussie but I loved the TV series and thought that was quite funny

  • this is absolute GENIUS! I want to see this show!!!!!!1

  • Excellent vid! I doubt I have the knowledge to do something similar..

  • Awesome job on this video! 100 stars.

  • I'm going to step around the massive brawl about President Obama and say that the West Wing was a brilliant show and this video did an awesome job at slotting in Obama's staff.

    Well done.

  • Great!

  • bought it from hu xactly?

  • Hah, I laughed to myself pretty hard reading your comment. One video completely ruined the opening credits for you that easily? Puh-lease. Stop being such a Negative Nancy, would you please? Thanks in advance. :)

  • hahahahahahahahaha you just love the republican talking points dont you.

  • Two thumbs up from Japan.

  • fuck you whiny little bitch, its not like you can do any better.

  • Are you fucking retarded? Obama inherited the shitty economy from the Bush administration. Also, who gives a fuck how he reads his speeches, teleprompter or otherwise? He executes them with precision and charisma. Just look at his "New Beginning" speech.

  • That's is possibly the stupidest comment short of fart jokes I've ever read on YouTube. It is almost as if you take everything that was true about a certain former "decider" and just say it about Obama. Where were you during the "misunderestimating" years calling Presidents retards?

  • wtf???

you are as idiotic as your president

  • mate you're a wanker. . .

  • excellent job!

still my all-time favorite tv. show.

would axelrod be his Leo, or rahm emmanuel?

  • Rahm and Leo are nothing alike, and Axelrod follows him everywhere, so I'd Axelrod is Leo :)

  • Rahm = Josh, for sure!

  • Rahm really can't = anybody, unless he was on HBO--'cause of the language. However you've got a point--such as: "Senator, you can take your legislative agenda, and shove it up your ass."

  • Technically according to title Rahm = Leo because Rahm is cheif of staff.

And personally Rahm = Toby. I can see him and the rubber ball....... LOL

  • Rahm actually = Josh though. Josh's character was based on Rahm.

  • EXCELLENT JOB!!!! =D

  • Nice job!

    Life is a SHOW.

  • genius!

  • this IS nice! great editing, looks very professional.

  • Nice! I always thought this was one of the best TV themes ever.

  • fabulous. Very well done

  • Bravo! ^^

  • Hahaha brilliant! Nicely done

  • VERY nice.

  • Great job.

  • this is really cool

  • Nicely done!

Maybe a little fast with the character titles but nicely done.

  • It's a really nice effort, but what's with all the bits recorded from the TV screen? Output to camera, dude, output to camera.

  • This should be this Administration's theme!

  • wow this is epic win

  • Of Course, what I meant is that he resembles JFK as president, not for what he has done. Its way too early to tell. But I have a good feeling!

  • He is exactly like JFK. Young, smart, energetic, ambitious and diplomatic. How is he not like JFK? Obama has the status to win people over, the same way Ronald Feakin' Reagan did. Is Reagan a celebrity? Yes, because he was an actor in his early years. Obama wins the people with solutions to the problems we face. Thats all the American people want. Not political bickering!

  • Of course he's not *exactly* like JFK. Take a lesson from Dan Quayle: never, ever, ever compare yourself to JFK. He's simply not someone you get compared to. But Obama does have that old youth and energy and idealism about him, very true.

And this vid = epic win.

  • epic win

  • Allison Janney would have been GREAT!

  • Comment removed

  • Love it! If I can't have Martin Sheen.......

    thank heavens we have Obama!

I'm so proud of this administration!!!

    This is a wonderful tribute!!!

  • That is incredible!!!! OMG that totally rocks!

  • FIERCEST ADMINISTRATION EVER!

  • NICE!!!

  • This was awesome. Really well done. :D

  • This was sooo COOL.

Could you imagine a behind the scenes documentary of the campaign and the first 4 years of his presidency?

  • Great job!!!! Really enjoyed that

  • i would love to watch this one too ! well done

  • wow you combined two of my favorite things. West Wing+ Obama= awesome. Really this is why I want to be a politician. :)

  • That was very well put together. :)

  • I love The West Wing! Good Job!

  • After watching a press conference from the white house this morning I am wanting CJ Cregg!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, Obama should have gotten Allison Janney for the job!

  • lol, that's pretty well put together.

  • where's CJ Cregg? Wheres Josh and Donna?

  • Oh my god this is fantastic lol. I love the picture of Rahm at 0:15.

  • this is so meta

  • they should televise what the obama adminstration does to prepare things for the nation and compare it to episodes of the WEST wing

  • Nicely done!

  • HA! That is fantastic!

  • That was fantastic. I am not a big politico so whether it was Obabma or McCain or Clinton wouldn't really have made difference to me. I only judge by result not character and who is the best speaker. In any ways, my hat goes off to Mr. Obama and I hope he does well and lead our country back to the forfront where we only belong.

Grapes, you did an excellent job here. I am not a big politico fan, but I love the West Wing, Martin Sheen is my hero. You did a brilliant job.

  • Not a fan of Obama myself, but a great video and idea, regardless of who's featured.

And NOW I can remember why the music being played during the Inauguration Sunday Concert seemed so familiar! (facepalm)

'Tis why I fail at being a true fan of "The West Wing" series.

  • I agree with wntrgrl. I think of the Matt Santos episodes over and over again when I see Obama in the news.

West Wing was the greatest show ever and a little ahead of its time, now that we look back.

And I understand the folks who want to see Hillary in the mix, but if you're to remain true to the show itself, you wouldn't include those outside the White House staff in the opening credits, aside from the First Lady, of course.

I love this video! Great Job!

  • The West Wing writer, Eli Attie, based Matt Santos on Barack Obama, after he was inspired by Obama's 2004 Speech; other characters based on real-life people, Arnold Vinick is loosely based on John McCain, and Josh Lyman was based on Rahm Emmanuel (years ago)... this is very eerie, but true.

  • Yeah, this show is about the President and his staff. Presidential staff members are interesting precisely because they are purely political appointments who are not approved by Congress. But, eh, can you imagine if Congress did vet Leo McGary? He wouldn't survive the questioning, I'm af
