Most often you separate the calf first after born for many reasons. 1. To prevent possible nursing on other cows at older age. 2. To not having them in your way or running around in the barn. 3. Prevent mother and child to even know eachother. Separating after time will trigger the missing even more.

Or it could also be because they know that most of the animals that are slaughtered for meat were not kept in these conditions, and were raised in factory farms instead. However, just like you said, becoming vegetarian is not going to make a difference because they will be born anyway, the only way to make a difference is becoming vegan- I´m not.

Cow is a very sacred animal in our country. We pay a lot of respect to mother cow and drink its urine and take bath with it.. Even our Prime Minister Morarji Desai used to drink cow's one glass of urine early in the morning. We regard a cow like our mother so please do not slaughter them. Thanks

Cow is a very sacred animal in our country. We pay a lot of respect to mother cow and drink its urine and take bath with it.. Even our Prime Minister Morarji Desai used to drink cow's one glass of urine early in the morning. We regard a cow like our mother so please do not slaughter them. Thanks

my sister told me they paralyze cows only from the neck down then slice there skulls open to kill them, they can of course feel it, i am so glad i gave up cows and pigs two years ago.
