I don't have to spin myself out of anything, Kaleta and Komisarek play totally different roles. Komisarek was only challenged because it was against his old team who had a grudge against him - if it was any other team he would've been fine. He was also told to control his temper against Montreal - see the first game of the season where he took a ton of dumb penalties and lost the game for his team. Kipper,nabby,lundqvist they make it through a whole season. but miller is really good this year, we'll see how it goes. Actually turtling is getting an oppenent to drop the gloves to draw a 2 min PP. A good turtle would be talking to a guy and acting like ur gonna drop the gloves and suckering him into dropping them first. I don't have to spin myself out of anything, Kaleta and Komisarek play totally different roles. Komisarek was only challenged because it was against his old team who had a grudge against him - if it was any other team he would've been fine. He was also told to control his temper against Montreal - see the first game of the season where he took a ton of dumb penalties and lost the game for his team. yeah but no playoff goalie, miller is always good half way through the season. I like him, but compare him to the europeans. Kipper,nabby,lundqvist they make it through a whole season. but miller is really good this year, we'll see how it goes. But san jose,devils and chicago will be the hardest teams to beat in playoff i think.

((i.e. millers current GAA and save% respectively; 1.89, and .938) Hasek's GAA and save% back in 1998-99 season (year he took the sabres to the cup final) 1.87 and .937)
Miller also has 21 wins already and its only half way through the regular season, as hasek had 30 after the entire regular season.

He throws borderline or complete cheapshots and then when called upon, he hides behind that extra large visor and the instigator penalty. He's a classic example of the sad state of hockey today. I wouldnt mind the way he plays if he would actually stand up for himself and not turtle 99% of the time. This guy needs to get blindsided or better yet...a player like Colton Orr to get a hold of him with his helmet off and the linesmen tied up elsewhere on the ice.

That's a textbook cheap-shot. Kaleta is an instigator, there's no doubt about that. But the guy suffered neck damage and is going to miss at least a month of the season. How the hell do you manage to blame Kaleta for getting hit with a total cheapshot? Gauthier's a low life, sad ass excuse for ahockey player. I was at the game and this was right in front of me.. Kaleta actually shook his gloves like he wanted to fight and as soon as Gauthier saw it he dropped his and popped him. Kind of why Gauthier raised his hands and was like 'wtf' after Kaleta went down and turtled. Kaleta kind of reminded me of Avery on this one.. but what a punch, it was probably smart to stay down

Avery does ridiculous things-- the Brodeur tactic, the sloppy seconds, other bullshit. Kaleta hits like a truck, and he does it cleanly. Turtling isn't respectable, but he had no intentions of fighting. Being cowardly is going after someone with an elbow when they did nothing to your player, and then popping them in the face. I know Kaleta is getting a bad rep for not backing up play, but he knows as well as we do that he will get his ass kicked, so why bother doing it at stupid times?

He wasn't paid for it, but it helped a lot and got us a lot of pp time. You're making yourself look stupid saying that someone on the team that you consider yourself a fan of deserves to be injured because he can finish big, clean hits. That's fucking stupid. Ruutu is someone that deserves this sort of thing. Kaleta didn't bite this fucker, he tried to hit him. What has he done to the kings that warrants them suckering him? Being a Sabres fan you're saying this? Yea, he doesn't score - that's not his role. He draws penalties by getting under other players' skin and I'd say he's pretty damn good at it. It's not very often that you see him take a dumb penalty himself. Not every player in the NHL is supposed to score.

No you couldn't, his hitting is much better, and the people you would draft would probably hit dirty and not be disciplined. I don't close my eyes, and he never tries to seriously injure or kill people, if he did he would be a cheapshot artist like fucking Gauthier or Simon. He hits clean to get the team going. Last night's game had a ton of moments where we would have great chances if anyone would finish a check on the forecheck, but without him everyone is too much of a pussy to hit ontheteam.
