  • Jesus fuck i love this song

  • Studies have shown that when you play the piano part IRL a sign that says "achievement unlocked" appears.

  • Exelent!

  • The best band of the world, technically, emotionally above the other ones, and with no comparison when they are on stage. This song is the perfect symbol of their musical diversity and richness

  • i love their songs that aren't super technical or rhythmically... odd

  • NIN influences all over this song

  • @jiudae no way theres more of a mike patton theme behind everything i.m.o but the dillinger thing is on a whole new level nowdays its pretty much theirs now

  • the greatest band in existence

  • wow this is pretty..

  • if i ever see these guys live and if they ever play this and widower, my head will explode from the insane ammounts of epicness

  • @zero88777 i saw them play this in orlando on the night of option paralysis cd release. it was beyond belief. one of the greatest things ive ever seen. i cant wait to see widower.

  • @Mrforevernemo you lucky bastard, did they play at the end or in the middle?

  • @zero88777 about 75% of the way through their set. i actually saw animals and as leaders and i wrestled a bear once that night too. god what a good tour.

  • @Mrforevernemo ew to IWABO but animals as leaders...i officaly envy you. that is one intense tour. AAL is so fucking amazing it blows my mind

  • @zero88777 They actually have played Widower live on many occasions and pulled it off very well. I couldn't believe my ears lol

  • @zero88777 Tonight In Montreal at metropolis !! :P

  • @zero88777

The first sec. I heard it I was thinking that exact thing.. xD

They both have a lounge-like melody to it.

  • This song is my alarm clock. Not for any deep meaning, or because it 'gets me going', but can you imagine waking up to anything better? It's gentle enough to ease you into the world, but has enough force towards the middle/end to say "stop being lazy and get out of bed now. ¬_¬".

  • @YamiJoey40K

Haha, dude. You have no idea. Didn't you know? We're all ghosts. It has significance. Everything has a meaning in "life".

  • I heard this live and i was amazed at how good it was. i was left speechless and so was the crowd.

  • THIS SONG IS DEEP

  • The range of DEP sets them apart from other bands. They allow themselves to play any style of music they want to. This is why they are so amazing.

  • This song really gets you pumped!! As if your about to go into war or score a goal for your country in the final of the world cup.. it gives some sort of purpose to the intense feeling .. love it :D

  • @cassiusitsover espically from 5:10 to the end

  • Wow..what a song.I've always been impressed & enjoyed the dynamic music know as The Dillinger Escape Plan.

  • I don't like there screaming as much as his normal voice. Hes got an awesome voice. Love the band all together though. :)

  • One of my favorite by DEP. You could play this one to any music fan and they would be forced to admit it rocks. No styles matter when it is THIS good!

  • I very much like this song. The built-up is one of the best tings ever done for this genre! <3

  • mouth of ghosts no mouth of ghost

  • love it!!!

  • i like muse and dillinger though

  • and you walllllllllllllllllllllllllllk ... afraid

  • LOL i cant stop listening to the song

  • pretty addicting isnt it?

  • Yes, Yes it is my friends are starting to warm up to the escape plan before they said they were too eratic now they like the chaos

  • Holy Fuckn Shit this is a deadly song

  • Fuckin' triple A

  • OMG Muse WANT to be this band. Dillinger kick muse right in their tiny cocks

  • hahahhahhhahahaah

  • @lukeashmoore

how does muse want to be this band

are you a idiot two different styles

dillinger are eratic and muse are more about his vocals then anything else way different styles both are good bands i think dillinger is better but still stupid comment :p

  • how u figure that?How did u even compare those 2?

  • @lukeashmoore what?

  • This along with Horse Hunter are great songs! Really nice to hear the variations!

  • almost sounds like weather channel jazz

in a good way, of course

  • this song, especially towards the end. Is incredibly hard to sing. Which convinces me of how good Puciato is as a vocalist.

  • My favourite Dillinger song, such a nice surprise on this album.

  • @gringolish tisk tisk tisk

  • fuckin love this song..perfect lyrics

  • this song needed a video

    very badly!

  • It Now has a live video, shot by me ofcourse. Check it out.

  • Yeah, it's "a mouth without a heart" in my opinion, it's about someone saying things, making promises without really meaning it "without a heart" ...

    So "an action without meaning"

    It makes sense to me.

  • This is such an amazing song.

  • lol, didnt mean to sound rude about it, just lettin you know, dont take it so offensively

  • Good coment, means much to me at this point..

  • i believe its mouth without a heart :P

  • one of the bests songs..

  • Oh shit Greg really pushes the possibilities of vocalization on this track! Superb arrangements, DEP proved again that they can do ANYTHING!

  • great song

  • i wish they had a live version. this song owns.

  • agree; i'd love to see a live version of this

  • This song is far out, very un dillinger, but still kick ass...

  • reaching for the hands that turn closed...

  • this song is sick, reminds me a bit of Nine Inch Nails !

  • this is genius, im a jazz funk head, but i love DEP.. and this is genius.

  • Haha, i'm kind of the same way. I'm very much into jazz and classical music, and The Dillinger Escape Plan is fucking brilliant :)

  • Your the only other person i've ver coem across who's a Jazz Funk head, but loves Dillinger. Heck Yeah!

  • No this is good. This is very nice.

  • stop all big story's just say Good or Bad

  • does anyone knows if DEP plays this song on his concerts!???

  • beginning reminds me of muse

  • anyone who passes up this song should not be able to speak of music

  • amazing track. Piano & chorus reminds me of King For A Day by Faith No More..another amazing track

  • Does anyone know the meaning of this song?

  • yes, is for a true liar! a cheater...

  • One of the best songs ever, period.

  • u know hwen u listen to a song ...and u get a hard on...basically tahts what just happened

  • whos tearing it up on piano?

  • Ben Weinman. The guitarist of tDEP.

  • It takes a lot of talent to make such a great song. Kick ass DEP!!!

  • The last 2 minutes or so are SO FUCKING AMAZING. This song is just awesome, on every level...

  • POWERFUL fucking ending..

  • amazing! its funny that narrow minded tossers who listen to bands like the killers and fall out boy dissmis "heavy metal" music because they think its about sceaming, chuging guitars and no melody and emotion but this is one of the most moving, epic, powerfull and wonderfully composed songs i have ever heard. great song, great album and great band

  • It's also funny that pretentious metal heads could listen to the beginning of this song, not knowing who it is, and dismissing it as lame or not 'brutal.' It's on both sides of the spectrum. Don't blame anyone, because really everybody is narrow minded. But this, this IS what music should be. This is emotion, this is talent. Just keep in mind someone somewhere disagrees and thinks they are just as right I think I am.

  • And their other songs aren't emotional? There's a lot of emotions in the human mind.

  • You're not very good with this whole 'understanding things' concept, huh? Not once did I say their songs weren't emotional. I'm saying don't diss on people who listen to other music, because in their minds they are as right as you think you are.

Now if you had actually read any of what I wrote, you'd have found that I said the opposite of what you thought I did. Dillinger Escape Plan are irrefutably some of the most talented individuals and their songs reflect that, physically and emotionally.

  • Maybe you're not good with the whole 'writing thing' or 'explaining yourself correctly' thing. You start off by saying a pretentious metal dude would dismiss this right off the bat for not being brutal enough. Then you went on to say that this kind of music (non-brutal music, using you previous statement as a reference point) is what music is really about. I agreed with your statement on being tolerant and understanding of all people's musical views, but you should explain yourself better.

  • Shut the fuck up you little pussies.

  • @whothehellisoliesyke it's even worse when they're trying to say that gansta rap is actually great and means something. I see gangsta rap as a disgrace to a noble art! lol. Though im not trying to hate on those who listen to gangsta rap, i'm okay with that actually, as long as they don't come around me try to piss me off about how their music is better than mine.

  • @whothehellisoliesyke Any music lover who dismisses Mouth of ghost needs another listen or simply doesn't understand what good music is about.

  • @whothehellisoliesyke yes i know, replying to a 2 yr old comment, but...i happen to like a LOT of different stuff, and i have no trouble admitting it. i even like muse, i like the mars volta, i LOVE fair to midland, and yes, even like a few songs by the killers...and i love DEP. i'm just a fan of great music, period. some of it happens to have screaming, chugging guitars, too...

  • @whothehellisoliesyke don't hate on the killers though. they're pretty cool for that kind of music.

  • i think many fans of dep dont like this album bbc its really smoother well for me i prefer it to other more jazz etc. but somes of the old songs kick ass for my opignion

  • if only they played this live

    would be even more epic

  • trent reznor tubo un grupo llamado error??

  • i expected a huge thrasher ending, just like off of miss machine...but i've gotta say...this was way more satisfying. so much power, so much emotion, DON'T YOU KNOW!? and when greg screams "reaching for the hands that turned closed", is..for me..one of the best moments in music.

  • i agree. the piano reminded me of the sims!! I dont mean this in a bad way at all, i just used to play the sims heaps when i was a kid...

  • This song is epic stuff fucking hell!....is it just me or is that little melody line near the end sound like a sample of Hocus Pocus with Sarah Jessica Parker saying "Come Little Children Ill Take Thee Away...."

  • Best song of 07.

  • you really knows!! best ever!

  • i like to pretend im antonio banderez when i listen to this song.

  • Sounds like the music from the sims. Love dillinger.

  • DON'T YOU KNOW?

  • My favourite song off this album. soo good!

  • The fucking climax...

  • Awesome song!
