@Jinggley Excuse me, sir, but Clyde's chasing algorithm is not entirely random. Whenever he's within a certain distance of Pacman (8 tiles), he switches to his scatter mode in which he chases a target outside of the game board, making him circle in the bottom left corner. Whenever he's out of that proximity, he'll chase Pacman directly just as Blinky does.

According to the game creator, Blinky (red) is the only ghost that actively chases Pac Man. Pinky (pink) is programmed to take the shortest route from wherever she is to be 32 pixels in front of Pac Man while Inky (blue) must go to fixed locations in relation to Pac Man's, once again taking the shortest path to there.

Clyde (orange) is the only one that is random, hence why he seems retarded.
